I want this car!

Given the power difference of only 45bhp between the 1.6 Turbo (180bhp) and the 1.6 Hybrid (225bhp) , why can't they mate the electric motor to the 1.2 Turbo? It will only be 5bhp lower and once it's rolling at a decent driving speed, will probably give a reduced fuel consumption!

Nice car, wouldn’t buy it though. Crazy depreciation and will only last 2 to 3 years before things start to go wrong with it.

I absolutely love my Citroën C5x 1.6 Lt Petrol 8 Speed ... It's like being in your lounge room so super comfortable and yes, unique at most. Well super done Mat Watson for such a brilliant review.

One thing I dislike about motor journo's is that they rarely mention the R word, "Reliability". I fell in love with this car and doing research, Citroen have the puretech engines which are supposed to be crap and give trouble and the C5 aircross came in as one of the least reliable SUV's according to a owner survey taken by Whatcar. A massive 35% of Citroen owners claimed to have problems, which is concerning.
I mention this because the C5 aircross came out well before the C5x, same engines and identical interior. So a journo worth his or her salt, would go and ask what has been done to address issues to manufactor and I mean that for all car brands. I dont care about how big the bloody door bins are. C'mon carwow, you need to be more informative on reliability of cars .

I was won over by my first-ever Citroen, and it was only a Xsara. I say 'only', but my Xsara is still my favourite car to drive. We seem to just mesh. I prefer a manual gearbox over any auto-shifter boxes, and the weighting of the power-assisted steering suits me almost as much as the superb Xsara seat. Now, well over a decade (and C4s and C5s) later, I find myself forced away from Citroen unfortunately, as I will always want a car, rather than a (pretend) SUV. Consequently, I dream of changing out the shock absorbers on a Peugeot 308 with those from a (PHC) Citroen C4 in an effort to experience the old fashioned Citroen comfort ride... on a car, again.

The problem for top-of-the-range French cars is that they depreciate very quickly. No matter how good they are, second-hand buyers shun them. That is a shame because they have a lot to offer. However, I, like many buyers would never choose one.

One person who lives in France, said recently cars, never buy 3 F: no Ford, no French, no Fiat....

Citroen is the European perfect car better than rolls Royce technology,fiat Ferrari, Audi Volkswagen, Lotus,moris minor, Rover it luxury car but some aspect of suspension technology and intelligent engineering engine is developing by Citroen, and only Citroen car can fight with Mitsubishi pajero evolution technology

This car is a likely money pit from hell both in terms of depreciation and costs of repair.

Also, the car has the following major design flaws:

1. It has a relatively small boot for its huge size

2. The sloping roof means that there is insufficient headroom at the back.

3. Very thick a pillars meaning reduced visibility particularly at junctions

4. Distance between boot door and the floor means loading is difficult particularly for heavy luggage

5. Lack of rear wiper is a serious safety issue particularly in heavy rain

Idk why French cars aren't appreciated.

I've just sold my 18-month-old C5X 1.6 hybrid after owning it for 12 months. The depreciation has been crippling and it's value has plummeted by £12,000 over that period - I could have leased a brand new Range Rover for that. The drive comfort is wonderful and in hybrid mode it would easily achieve 90mpg. That said, the car has been really glitchy including pop-up faults with the climate control, heated driver's seat, reversing camera, auto wipers, auto lights, auto locking and electric tailgate. The weird slider thing to put it into gear (by sliding it backwards) always needs a double-check and its really easy to accidentally put it in reverse rather than drive, because its so counter-intuitive. The voice assistant is absolutely useless. Its such a shame because I was so excited to get the car and wanted to love it - but didn't.

Frech Rolls Royce was the C6, not this, this is boring and bland.

It's beautiful. French design is best in the world after all.

My dream car

I dont like that there are USB -Cs because they look like USBs with that trim so i thought i could charge my reading lamp but when it ran low on power i realised that they were USBs.

Fun fact: No-one in a real state of mind, gonna buy Citroen in Finland.

The more good Citroen makes their models for Europe the worse they are for India 😂.
Just look at the c3 and c5 models which they are selling in India, they are absolute crap.
