Music for Youth Jazz Mentors 2013

Mentoring does not get any better than this. This short excerpt from the morning session at the Sir Adrian Boult Hall is truly INSPIRATIONAL. Two brilliant musicians who can both 'talk the talk' and also 'walk the walk". Their in-sight and knowledge is delivered with care,honesty integrity and humour.
For students and music directors alike their mentoring gives help and support for further development. If only all CPD (Continuing Professional Development) was like this!!

In this video they explore the conversational aspect of improvising, phrasing and structure. Perhaps the best bit is where they just use their voices, clearly demonstrating (without an instrument, where all musical things truly start.....the mind)........ Having said that, it's wicked hearing them both on their instruments.
