Why didn't he tell us about dinner??
ОтветитьWhat a complete dump I don't think I'll be rushing there any time soon.
ОтветитьHonestly, looks cool to me.
ОтветитьThe singer at the Christmas party sounded like Englebert Humperdinck. lol! Another hotel owned by Britannia that deserves so much better. I did enjoy seeing the furniture. Thanks, Tim! 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
ОтветитьDid you really sleep in that bed with the gross pillows??? :) :) :)
ОтветитьThe tell tale sign for me would be walking into a hotel that has a sign saying ' all you can eat buffet'... time to go. Jeez, what a shithole!
ОтветитьI went to Southport today and saw the hotels
ОтветитьI certainly wouldn’t want to say in that hotel too many dead ends just in cases of fire I don’t think you’d get out in time
ОтветитьThe green and yellow wire is an earth in wire
Ответитьbrittania no go x
ОтветитьDid I miss the price?
ОтветитьThat man can SING!!❤❤
ОтветитьYou’re a brave man Tim!
ОтветитьI'll give Britannia Hotels this, they're consistent with their brand quality. :/
ОтветитьJust the state of those pillows will make me leave the premises. Nasty!! 🥴
ОтветитьHi Tim. Thank you for another disaster video! All the best from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
ОтветитьIt's a Brittania Hotel. Nuff said. Same company that sacked it's hotel employees in Aviemore during 2020 then claimed it was an administrative error.
ОтветитьHahahahah I worked here it is as bad you think
ОтветитьAt least you weren't in room 217.
ОтветитьJust thought I'd randomly say that 227 was a funny sitcom in the 80's! 😁
ОтветитьI think I would bring, Lysol, Windex and room spray! ❤👍 Great video.
ОтветитьHave you tried ibis shoreditch. I found it clean . No personnel seen but it was better than the hotel tottenham court toad that was fikthy.thats wgy i cant remember the name of it i guess 😅
ОтветитьBed infront of the window is gross n a terrible design flaw 😮
ОтветитьIs that Tony Angelino, the singing dustman of Peckham?
ОтветитьWelcome to your room... filthy but we gave you a clean remote.
Personally that remote is the least of my worries
All double beds come in 2 sections, the divan comes in 2. It's very unusual for a double or bigger bed for tbe divan to be in one piece
ОтветитьThanks for doing this one. I felt a bit sad watching this as I stayed there a few times when I was younger over the years in the 80s. I stayed once over Christmas and New Year and it was fabulous. As a college student we used to go to the Knights Bar and the atmosphere was great. Stayed in rooms 301 and immediately surrounding rooms so got to see a few of them and they were a world away from this even though I think it was a 3 star. Incidentally, the lifts were different back then but got stuck in them a couple of times even then haha. The Derby room back then was all more formal dining room for evening meals. There was another dining room for breakfast and high teas which I can’t recall the name of. There were cloths on the tables, it was spotlessly clean and the staff were dressed more formally yet weren’t stuffy. They made you feel part of the family and we had some great times there. Very sad to see its deterioration really.
ОтветитьI do love your vlogs but get put of going on holiday lol not really just very careful i have to go though everything love to see a good cruise holiday for a week take Gaby and the family oh yes every thought of doing luggage for your merch just a thought
ОтветитьThat opening scene looks like a nice place to get mugged at night 😂
ОтветитьTim you really do make us laugh with your thoughts and comments, with how gross things are 😂 we love all your videos. 😁
ОтветитьThat lift really is something.
Used to work in a building with a similar lift with folding doors - but for just one person only. Creepy as heck.
It was well maintained but really really old school. The building was from the 1940s and the lift looked like being from the 50, max.
Taking it was really scary. Very slowly moving. Once the doors folded shut you could only hope they’d open again.
If the thing ever dropped down with a person inside they could take the lift cabin as a coffin, just grab it with everything inside.
That thought didn’t really help.
Naturally, not many people used it.
Yeah, there’s no way I’d ever willingly use such an old elevator with missing buttons lol
ОтветитьTim you are so brave that you used this terrible lift 😱 i would never have gotten in there. Never ever
ОтветитьLike the Adelphi, this hotel was once a classy stylish place back in the 80's, but not any more. I've heard it now houses some of the countries finest!
ОтветитьCome to So Cal USA Knotts Berry Farm & Soak City. Hotel on same property
Ответитьthat's grim
ОтветитьOmg so creepy door
ОтветитьStayed here couple of times, cheap hotel, just a bed to sleep the drink off . Bars local to hotel are brilliant, hotel food not much choice but edible £120 two nights bed breakfast and evening meal this also included coach travel to Southport
ОтветитьI I wonder if you had to pay extra for the cobwebs
ОтветитьI feel like I take my own sleeping bag and pillow once seeing my bed looking like that
ОтветитьHonestly, I stayed at a WAY worse hotel in Chicago one time.
The hotel in Chicago had a window screen on it that was covered with bugs....
I actually like parts of the lobby and bar.
When I used to live in Southport in the 70's there was pub/nightclub downstairs to the left in the Scarisbrick Hotel. I went there with my brother Dave Mac who was a regular and I remember they had bouncers on the door. I think one of the bouncers names was Big Sam correct me if I'm wrong. It wasn't run down then and we had a good night out I've got good memories of that hotel it's a shame that its getting bad reviews now.
ОтветитьI gave you a thumbs up but I could not watch this after seeing the pillows!😨😱
ОтветитьThese old hotels are the very definition of the term "grim".
ОтветитьThe bed base is meant to be in two halves as a base in one piece wouldnt be able to fit through door and hallways etc
ОтветитьI found a nice picture on the Southport Visiter website via Google, featuring all the staff lined up outside for a photo in the 90s. Over 40 people in total (including the owner) and some nice uniforms on display. Can't imagine it's anywhere near that number now. Clearly a lot of love went into the place once. What a shame that Britannia have run it into the ground.
ОтветитьThe door on the room has been broken into at some point , great video as usual 😀
