The defense attorney is talking about the trial and trial evidence. I thought this was not allowed during sentencing. She's been convicted, and you can't retry it. Imo when someone takes a life, they give up theirs, period.

Life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, also known as 25 years to life in prison without the possibility of parole during that time.

If she does serve at least 25 years the kids will be safe and grown up if she gets out.
