I had a feeling that if the remasters and The Dead Shall Rise will sell well we will be seeing a game that is set in times where Raziel was vampire - this way for exemple the Elder God will be absent.

One small change to Raziel's model that i'd like, is for his talons to be a bit more pointy and grimy, they look a little clean and dull in my opinion. still super excited for this game though!

How did I miss this video yesterday? Any news on the physical release of Soul Reaver 1 and 2 Remastered?

The irony of finding this video on the very same day that I finally managed to complete my legacy of Kain collection again. Over the last year and a 1/2 years I have been trying to get back the series on PlayStation 1 and 2 and just today I was finally able to get myself a copy of defiance! I can hardly wait for the Soul reaver remastered versions to be released.

I know that there is a ton of cut content/ dialogue from the original release, I do hope they restore some where possible

I do want to see them change the wraps on their arms.. I need to get more of the impression of the wraps being almost bound to the skin not burned.. Or melted but just one with whats left of his flesh..

I just dont get that impression from the model currently. The wraps are a little to thick their clean in comparison to the ones in the original Soul Reaver.

If its one thing id suggest a tweak to out of what weve seen its that.. As they are works for Kane.. They dont work for Raziel.. He is a corpse. A saved corpse but a corpse none the less.. His wraps were on his body as his flesh was burned in the well of souls.. They should feel appropriately 'bound' to that flesh dirty and a little bloody. Just as the textures imply in the original game.

Im okay with most of the rest ive seen. I do think some of the 'horror' is lost in some of the undated models. But they are working with PS1 i understand this is a remaster not a remake. As long as the original graphics are there unchanged to flip back and forth ill be more than happy.

Those Raves were fun.

I very much prefer a map with objective points than being 7 years old and asking Ariel for directions and her advanced-english-eloquent ass saying, "Far in the eastern mountains, a stifled titan stands in mute surrender - unwilling host to a parasitic swarm." I was pretty sure she casted a spell of confusion on my 7 year old brain because I was LOST. 🤣

The metal eye part of Melciah still looks off but I'm just happy this is actually happening.

Thanks so much for these videos, doing the Elder God's work. I think the remaster stuff we've seen so far looks fantastic and I'm absolutely stoked to play it. Waiting for the game to be on the Switch for pre-order....

Its pretty strange both Melchiah and Dumah have dabbled into the spectral realm and somehow acts supirior within in relation to Raziel

You know, with the games having a big time traveling aspect, if someone were to make a video going through the remaster and switch between old and new graphics, it could make for a really cool video lol

I was hoping they could include the alpha Turel and the loss parts of the story. Oh well.

not sure if anything will change gameplay wise
i'd rather get a remake of the very first blood omen with modern technology

As much as I'm looking forward to the game, the thing I'm most excited to isn't the game. It's being able to recommend the game to friends without having to tell them to download things, I can just gift it to them on steam. <3

Since this master is basically a graphical update, it would have been nice to see a bit more effort put into water and particle effects

The design of Kain as a model in Defiance was disappointing. He looked like a classic bodybuilder on a high protein diet. Not at all like a dry, sinewy, thousand year old vampire with demonic body features. What prevented the creators of this game from taking the character model from SR2 is beyond me. I hope this mistake is not repeated.

Did they fix the water glyph altar statue? I've seen many people complain and I have to agree it looks weird.

The statues could be Raziel's members of his clan that never appeared in the wholes games and was destroyed by kain. They must be more approached and perhaps a spin-off about Raziel's clan in future games..
