In Halifax, a one bedroom would most likely be $2,000 or more as a norm. Cape Breton is not city, it is the largest island in the province by a lot. The City of Sydney on Cape Breton Island is the second largest city in the province. The New Glasgow area is actually made up of five small towns with a combined population of around 30,000 (New Glasgow,Trenton. Stellarton, Westville and the town of Pictou). The Truro area Iwhere I live) includes the village of Bible Hill and the combined total population living in and around the Town and Village is actually more like 25,000 people. But for all that, Nova Scotia is a great place to visit and to live. Come take a look.

NS, is the third world province of Canada. Besides the larger towns, such as Halifax, there is little or no public transport, houses are on well water and septic tanks. Electricity is very expensive and due to the weather, rather unreliability. HST is 15 per cent, alsp personal tax is very high. Health care is dismal, with a 3 year wait for a family doctor. Many ERs are only open when doctors are available.... which isnot often. Good to visit, horrible to live in.
