I think it's ridiculous that anyone should ever receive that much in a lawsuit.. I pray he doesn't receive that much...

It just sounds like walmart is trying to be cheap with its workers. Walmart has its employees working 39 hours just to keep them part time. Can't work over time plus Walmart hate paying their employees. I worked with them once and will never work with them ever again.

couple of things..all big companies pay investigators to follow you and video tape you...thats normal. if your faking they will eventually catch you if your ligit all the videos wont matter...so hes good there. but Wal-Mart will get that amount reduced they will appeal amdnsay the amount is excessive and unreasonable. how they determine your cash value is your annual salary multiplied by the amount of years that you can be expected to work...for example 100k a yr x20 years equals 2 million then they add on pain and suffering..for next 20 yts or so...plus loss wages and medical bills... speaking from first hand experience

Even picking up an Amazon package off his porch can easily exert more than 10 lbs of pressure.

Heck all Walmart needs is someone to testify he mowed his lawn. Not hard to exert more than 10 lbs of presser pushing a lawn mower or other. If I had to guess Walmart rep saw him doing other stuff then just driving. Way to many people abuse workers comp system from what it is intended for so do not blame Walmart or any company for doing their own investigation.

Everyone I knew who went on workman's comp was scamming. My father told me to stay far away from workman's comp. He said if you can do without it then don't collect it. He was a supervisor in a factory and said that collecting it makes you look really bad. My father said that its a shame that most who collect it are scamming because some actually do need it but collecting it makes them look bad too. Its very hard for someone who collected workman's comp to find another job.

It’s not even just drivers, when I was a cart pusher years ago I broke my toe and was put in a boot, I told my supervisor and they still wanted me to come in the next day. Definitely quit when I clocked in, they don’t care about their own workers

I work at walmart as a driver. I have been injured and NO, they do not force or rush you back to work. If anything it was frustrating slow to get back to work (i was paid) .

Also, the company policy is "any restrction" means youre placed on disability and likely will be paid during this time, and not allowed to work.

The system also wouldnt allow them to force it. They use a 3rd party that has to approve before youre even placed in the system. Even if a manager wanted to rush you , they couldnt. The regional big wig has to approve with doctor,3rd party, and hr. As a regional youd have to be pretty damn dumb to sign off risking your bacon for 1 driver when you got 1000s working for you.

Only 2 people will ever contact you is hr, and your case worker. Hr usually called to see the updates, and a time scale if they can get one, and the case is to handle the appointments and insurance

A Walmart warehouse here in Mississauga ontario canada has just voted to unionize and i think the rest here in canada will follow. I’m surprised it’s taken this long and surprised Amazon has unionized with how they’re treated

Number 1 driving a piv is way different than driving a commercial vehicle. The wear and tear on a human body for driving a semi is very hard on a body.

the bigger the corporation and the more shares are owned by blackrock the worse the people who get hired into corporate positions. if you are an honest hard working person you will never get rich or get a good corporate office job. those things are reserved for the scum of the earth and every day i pray the worst for people who contribute nothing and demand everything. this country is filled to the brim with incompetent people in positions of power and influence due to nepotism and other shady practices which got said incompetent individuals their jobs. i hate communism and i will never ever change my mind. the bigger the companies propaganda and pr campaign is the more bs and communist woke bs they are.

And also this is coming from 1 of the wealthiest families in the world at a certain point believe Walmart when they tell you who they are, a study came out over a decade ago that Walmarts workers were the biggest beneficiaries of food stamps and taxpayers help instead of paying their workers a living wage their double dipping using American benefits to subsidize their underpaid workforce its disgusting the level of greed

Seems like the doctor made a clear distinction between commercial and personal driving, and on that note there is a big differece. What if the driver went against doctors order to not drive commercialy, and then there was an accident, I'm pretty sure that Wal-Mart ain't gonna have his back! So all matters is what the state government thinks. Maybe Walmart should try to sue the doctor now, Lol

Same thing happened to my dad here in Canada but they denied his workers compensation although he didn’t get into an accident, he was coming out of the truck and broke his leg when he stepped out onto the footrest. Walmart pressured him to come back to work after 3 weeks and while he had no other choice since he had no source of income he went back on the 4th week with a cast still on his leg…
