I am so very grateful that this being was inspired to bring spiritual aspects of the east to America. The book Autobiography of a Yogi, the first book I read that exposed me to the higher self within, meditation, the heights that mankind can reach through righteous living and the reality of mystical abilities. I’m wrong, studying the New Testament about the life of Yeshua was the first book that exposed me to ideas such as this but Yogananda exposed me to these ideas from another perspective. In fact gave me a better perspective and understanding of the miracles of the Jewish Christ.
