Following Thorium news from past 25 years, still waiting for it to be world wonder energy forum. Sad still no where in near future, hope soone we have clean, healthy energy resousce.

NRC motto is safety 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th, 7th...... The safest reactor is the one that never gets built.

The NRC listening to this talk says oh yeah, hold my beer, we can make it much worse, don't you dare talk down to us, we are regulatory Gods. Go build a coal plant, we will fund you.

In the future, many people will have access to a neuralink with a rad spectrometer attached. I.e. Star Trek visor, and people will finally see wtf their grandparents been so scared of, then they will calm down and get on with their rad life. Mark my words.

Nothing in life is perfectly safe. If the public is convinced that the new reactors are perfectly safe, the next accident will set the nuclear power industry back another 5 decades. Kutsch is a great salesman, but maybe we need a different slogan on safety. How about "safer than airline travel".
