Now how much of this has been completely disproven or altered since this speech?
ОтветитьHe remembered how to read and write. And he commented on being blind until she walked in. Also he said he hadn’t seen black or white for a period. But during that period was he aware of not having sight or what colors were before it came up in their conversation? And doesn’t he ever leave that room afraid that he just woke up and he somehow knows that he’s never known anything?!
ОтветитьI was covertly drugged and given a frontal lobotomy.
Watch my last few videos for images from my ct scan.
I want the evil criminals who did it locked up but that would be
like putting the fox in charge of the henhouse.
Quakertown Pennsylvania.
Memory has been around for as long as I can remember

ОтветитьThe moment I got many things wrong when he ask memory question, I feel like I have an issue
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьThank you Mr Frank for this amazing lecture and Stanfor to make it feely available to millions.. 👏👏
Ответить2010?! was the brain even around then? have thr been no advances in learning and memory? _JC
ОтветитьI have brain damage from my 2nd 💉 and I have difficulties memorizing things, some memory loss, difficulty finding the correct words in my brain, I say and write words together... like free speech becomes "freech," etc. but my trouble shooting, problem solving skills is completely back.
ОтветитьI ❤ these lectures/presentations!
Thank you Stanford!
His jawline is intense. Great lecture tho
Ответитьwhy they are in 2010, wearing suits from the 80´s? :)
ОтветитьI'm terrible with names, but I can remember faces like a steel trap! Usually it's a person's brow. When it's numbers, I split them into Engine and Ladder companies, since being a firefighter. Like 8231 is Engine 82/Ladder 31(that's an actual firehouse in the Bronx)...works every time.
ОтветитьThis is what people pay to go to school for ? Sheesh 😬
ОтветитьVery interesting. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьIf someone has sleep apnea which is severe, the person starts to forget and has trouble learning. I suggest to get a sleep mask before you work or go to college. Or both.

ОтветитьGreat content!
ОтветитьI’ve already learned about this information
ОтветитьI’ve already heard or seen this woman and her story this video is playing
ОтветитьI mean who does not remember events of their own life. Some of those questions were practiced for.
Sorry to say there is more to being able to determine if someone is telling truth or lie than still body language or eye blinking.
In patient H.M., it was said that he was able to learn how to read backwards with enhanced function when compared to an average individual. Does this correlate in any way when compared to having damage within your sensory system (e.g when your eyesight becomes damaged so your other sensory abilities become enhanced)
ОтветитьSo it may as well be just a scream for nothing. But I just learned about disorder aphantasia. I can't see any image nor sound so I'm pretty sure it's here with me.
My question is how can someone like me learn some topics that requires alot of memorizing?
❤️😊Thanks prof
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьProbably watched more than 10 hours of this video in total. Helped with my first cognitive psychology assignment and now for my clive wearing case study
ОтветитьWhat about people who can recall information they have forgotten or maybe never even knew ? I think this understanding is flawed but I'm just some dude with an odd way of thinking and brain function apparently . Maybe mentally ill with an advantage to the way I retain information
The way I see it is my short term memory is smoking a joint and behind on its tasks. It's converting things long term but it's like 30 memories behind . It starts asking well can't any other part of the brain help, I mean I have the most burden. But the brain denys help until short term is like...... well what about subconscious and imagination. They aren't doing a damn thing. So they team up and then something odd happened. My inner monologue slowly became an inner conversation and I am able to recall information I didn't know I knew and even information i shouldn't know . Its weird but that's the way I interpret the way my ability to recall and even call for information when im pondering a thought or in a conversation
An extraordinary lecturer! Thank you ...

ОтветитьT.v. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 zi.on.
ОтветитьHow is the guy with no memory married but I’m not 😂
ОтветитьNot bad. To go with your memory statistics. The average number of riends and close friends. The average number of words and average number of objects people can remember/recall. Also, long-term memory and morphology of things like memory quality, cross talk changes, and big changes over time. Other than that. Good talk for basics or intro.
ОтветитьAnderson Donna Lewis David Johnson Eric
ОтветитьWhat is the good if you can't recall it! This is what gatekeepers and editors capitalize on!...if it isn't written down it didn't happen lol 1984
ОтветитьAmazing!!! 🎉
