Jay might say that the interpretation of Hindu literature has changed and he can say that Hinduism does not stand for caste system, but much has to change in reality for the people in India. Buddha who lived 2500 years ago, saw that the Hindus subscribed to caste system which is based on once birth. Buddha saw it as evil. If today's Hindus see the Caste System as evil, it must be welcomed.

Also, Hinduism takes various forms. According to Jay and the pagenist in the panel, there are many forms and all have to be accepted. It is not surprising to see both accepting each other's philosophy. That means, evil also must be accepted and worshipped. So Hindus worship both Rama and Ravanan. In certain parts of India even Ravanan is worshipped. With this philosophy people can never take a stand against any evil. This is the greatest bane of India. Most Hindus are resigned to their fate. And caste system still flourishes because of people resigning to their fate.

People who subscribe to such philosophy, slowly lose their power to discern between good and evil. Their conscience loses its sensitivity. And in India, this philosophy has created havoc. They mean anything is alright, as long as their selfishness is met.

But God truly helps His children to fight evil and never to worship evil.

I know this is from 2012 but still I am deeply hurt by the way the audience and Nicky Campbell mocked Mr Lakhani all throughout. Even when he asked 'Are many Gods better than one?'.

Which other religion allows the belief of divine feminine? Christians and Muslims are known to allow abuse to women. There is no such thing in our scriptures. It's bizarre how people mock the oldest religion in the universe.
The caste system is a cultural myth. It's nothing to do with the Hindu religion!

Notice how Mr Lakhani is not mocking any other religions in his well spoken and highly profound answers.

With all due respect, I've never heard of one terrorist attack, in Britain, the last 10 years, in which the attacker wasn't a Christian or a Muslim. Do you know any British Hindus that go around stabbing innocent people in the name of God? No! Look what happened yesterday in London yet again. That says a lot.
God and Jesus. That's two people. Allah and Muhammed.
Do the maths. Wake up. Have a brain.
As a British born Hindu, I find myself constantly correcting and having to justify being a Hindu to really aggressive, nasty, disrespectful Muslims and Christians!
I don't know any Hindu who has ever forced any person to convert to our way of life.
We are all about harmony from our spiritual to practical practices.
There are many religions who believe in one God but also many Gods, including within Greece.
I am in awe of Mr Lakhani'a calmness in this debate. I will keep supporting the Hindu Academy.

Only one educated person amongst the crowd of fools. Mr. Lakhani. And Christians and Muslims should really not talk about how their ‘religion’ is the ultimate reality when it is only some 2000 years old. Like what, before that earth didn’t exist? Or great things didn’t happen? In fact before these two religions, world was a better place and way more peaceful. These two religions have wreaked havoc ever since their appearance and still continue to do so.
