Insurance reasons for 1...For 2 you arent really free here either...
ОтветитьHEAT is brutal now….like living on the sun…Gulf water just STINKS…..nasty. Winter..yes..Summer..no way.
ОтветитьYou ain't seen nothing yet, New York businesses are now fleeing NYC after the Trump verdict. We're going to need a lot bigger buildings!
ОтветитьI lived in tarpon springs. Very nice. But job I had was low pay. Moved back to long island.
ОтветитьMoved here fall of ‘21 from Wisconsin, worked in Illinois, tired of the cold and snow, not to mention the murder on Chicago news and car jacking on Milwaukee, glad to leave those commie states
ОтветитьMove to Conn.! He liked so much, why did he come here! Some come down and want the way of life to change to their standards, but it isnt going to!! We dont care about how u do it up north!!
ОтветитьNo Snow!! U dont have to shovel rain!!!
The temp in florida is high, u r shut in for 3 or 4 months in a/c!!
Up north ur shut in 3-4 months with heat and snow outside!
The farther you go south, the higher the price is! Fresh water fishing is great in central florida! Salt water fishing is great down south, ft.meyers,etc.
The price is up all over the state, the bargain is over, it may not be if ur from Ca., Conn., etc, high $$ areas!
the old adage, "let's move to Florida because it's cheaper" no longer exists.......hasn't been for a while........ and they all flock to Broward/Dade county and the Tampa area mostly!
ОтветитьProbably retiring in Georgia, Florida sucks. Prices have gone up so much and insurance but wages are awful. What makes it unbearable is traffic from all the dreamers moving here with that vacation feeling. Snow birds make it impossible to enjoy anything.
ОтветитьStay out of Florida it was a beautiful place it is overdeveloped I have lived here since 1945 except for 14 years in a better place GEORGIA
ОтветитьI'm moving to FL soon. Been there many time. I love it. I'm moving there for agriculture, soil, and plant science classes. My family is starting a food forest project. The year round growing season has my heart. The wildlife and abundance of subtropical species of floral and fauna is pure adventure. I love the beaches, the pines, and the everglades. I'm so excited. I spent most my life in Alaska. So adventure and nature is in my fiber.
ОтветитьGO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The GREAT STATE OF FLORIDA DOES NOT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ABLE TO APPRECIATE IT. AMERICA IS BIG . GO TO CALIFORNIA . There you'll find chip housing , even on the streets full with homeless and more than half stores closed. And cleanliness , kind people who enter in stores with huge bags and leave without paying. And tens of thous of illegals. Good luck.
ОтветитьGood bye bye more need to leave
ОтветитьJust moved to Sumatra, FL from Minnesota; 30 minutes from the bay....in late June. The heat is next level and seriously doubted if I could make it. Now in September and embracing a breeze from time to time. Sad not to be able to open the shades or windows. Looking forward to some relief. Looking for a summer home elsewhere and possibly selling my modest abode here. Many cultural differences for sure.
ОтветитьMoved to Florida 2 years ago: 1. Auto insurance tripled. 2. Health insurance doubled. 3. Homeless people on every corner. 4. Crime high. 5. Racism rampant confederate flags everywhere. 6. Sales taxes highest in the country. 7. Rent increased 45 % in 6 months. 8. Rude drivers. We moved out last month. I didn't even get to the fascist governor.
ОтветитьU are so right. A lot go home to be with family.
ОтветитьThere is politics even in blue states. So, it's a non-issue.
Why people leave Florida? You said cost of housing has gone up. It's like that in most states.
You then gave hurricane and hot summer as reason they left. Yes, hurricanes come with the package. They can't have tropics without hurricanes, except in California.
Then you asked why people leave Florida, and your number one reason is they move back to where they came from to be with their family and friends. That would mean the reason is they get home sick. LOL
I doubt anyone knows why people really leave Florida. You have to take a survey to find out.
DONT MOVE TO FT LAUD GAY MECCA
ОтветитьLiving where DeSantis lives ..... no thank you!
Ответить.MR.FUNK YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG. I MOVED TO FLORIDA FROM MASSACHUSETTS IN 1999. IT WAS EASIER LIVING IN FLORIDA IN 1999 BUT THEN GREED GOT BIGGER AND BIGGER AND YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LIVE IN FLORIDA AT ALL. THE PROBLEM IS EVEN WORST NOW SINCE I LEFT FLORIDA IN 2018. NO I DIDN'T MOVE BACK TO MASSACHUSETTS BECAUSE THAT PLACE IS EXPENSIVE TOO. UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY NO ONE CAN AFFORD TO LIVE IN FLORIDA. THIS IS WHAT I TELL THE PEOPLE WHERE i'M LIVING NOW. GET YOUR INFORMATION RIGHT MR. FUNK. YOU DON'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.
ОтветитьI had considered purchasing a residential/vacation home in Naples. The beaches are beautiful, and Florida is very veteran friendly. I currently live in Costa Rica. After reviewing numerous Florida videos. I elected not to buy. Based on, increasing traffic, homeowners home and flood insurance costs, HOA fees increasing, high car and boat insurance, insane home prices etc. Not to mention, the deterating political, economic and financial issues in the U.S.
ОтветитьSo how do peoplelike living in Little Rissia now lol
ОтветитьI enjoy Florida for short stays. It is beautiful. Between the ridiculously low wages there and overpriced high real estate and insurance I would never buy there. If you like book bans and the dictator wannabe governor, have at it.
There are too may transients and no one has roots.
no mention of skyrocketing home insurance rates
ОтветитьThank you Troy is a great video just be careful if you need to buy a home stay away of GL Homes.
I recommend to check all the bad reviews online about them! Hiring an inspector AFTER closing, I don't think is good Idea! They have a lot of problems with the warranties
You can not trust in them. Look what happened to me:
Terrible company and terrible people. No work ethic, liars no morals and no respect. They took $66,632 of my earnest money. Before to sign the contract I asked to sales woman, what will happened if my economical situation changes?. She response, that will be consider hardship situation, and we will give you your deposit back. After that
her financial company try to qualify me for a loan that couldn't make it. Instead of give back my money, the Saleswoman send me to her personal friend to give me a pre-qualification letter, so they can pass the Contingency date. After 2 years when the home is going to be ready this Loan Officer can not qualify me anymore for a Loan. I try to apply with more Loan Companies and everybody say that it was irresponsible the first pre-qualification. Now
GL homes has a Home that is worth $300,000 more than the original price plus my earnest deposit.
As soon as they realize that you are in troubles, they don't respond your phone calls and the emails bounce back.
2 years to build a home is too long, your economy can change or the interest can go higher, so you are in a risk to loose everything.
GL Homes they don’t care about your feelings. This people just try to get your money, and as soon as you sign the contract they will make you regret if you make one mistake, because they have “The Best contract” called bullet-proofs, or customer-proofs. Which means the buyer always loses no matter what.
My recommendation is don’t sign the contract on the spot because of desperation. Take it to your lawyer and double check before you signwith the devil.
In the answer from GL homes posted 06/01/23 you can find out, that they just lie to the people. He wrote "We always strive to create a happy homebuyer experience for our customers" that is a lie, because it is no "ALWAYS".
My 2 little daughters, my wife and me are not happy, because we don't have a place to live. We are not rich. We don't any money in the bank after 2 years that I was promise them for a home.
I can see that you don't have any remorse to took our money, no even an apology.
At least, I'll be happy if 1 person see this review, and avoid to make business with your company and suffering what we are feeling right now.
We moved out of Los Angeles back in 2004. Florida was GREAT! Now after being here nearly 20 years, it's time to move out. It's too crowded now, traffic, exploding prices, the insurances issues it's not even worth me renting my home.
ОтветитьI was born in Orlando, raised in the Tampa Bay Area, and ended up leaving the state shortly after high school around 2000 because jobs didn't pay anything and rent prices (even then) were astronomically higher than someone earning $5.15/hr. could afford.
Tried to move back twice, fell on my ass both times, will never make that mistake again. Tennessee was great, but Texas has been wonderful.
If you don't work for the Government, there is no reason to stay.
ОтветитьWarm water …cool sands…?stop the rubbish sand burns up as the day progresses tell the truth
ОтветитьMoved to Florida 7 years ago. It’s a natural paradise that has become an ecological disaster zone due to overpopulation. If anything happens (like a hurricane) the freeways become parking lots. No escape! I bet if you did a survey of all the cops, fireman, civil servants, dentists , doctors etc from the northeast, 90%are planining to retire here. They don’t even think about it. It’s just standard procedure. At some point the state infrastructure is going to collapse
ОтветитьThe heat and humidity is oppressive half the year. That's why so many snowbirds spend the summer up north.
ОтветитьQuiet, remote, not all the mobs. Vacation, tourists, fine, but super crowds near your house in Florida, probably not. As you’ve said, quiet, remote, as it once was, nice. Over crowdedness, can see why people go to another state, up a little and going down to Florida a couple months. Enough.
ОтветитьTraffic, all those crowds, probably no, a deal breaker
ОтветитьFlorida is the Thunder and Lightning Capital of the United States of America.
ОтветитьCan't run, can't hide.
ОтветитьTroy, Thanks for sharing this video. Very helpful tips! It was very informative info.
Ответитьwe are 73 and will save $6,000-8,000 or more moving from mn to fl
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks for sharing! ❤
ОтветитьFlorida is the most overrated state by far. Florida is just a oversized Walmart parking lot.
ОтветитьNever moving to Fl or TX, they couldn't pay me enough to live in either state! You can have it.
ОтветитьI was born there. It is no longer what it used to be except hotter, much more crowded, much more expensive, and much more of a police and fascist state than just 15 years ago!
ОтветитьWhat is the real story with the property tax hikes and insurance problems down there? Some say it blow the cost of living out of the water, some sat its overblown.
ОтветитьThe crime is not mentioned on this video
ОтветитьI only when to fl once for vaca and it totally sucked (rain like hell and not just at night like in hi, very lil to do, etc). Cant understand why with nonstop flights ppl just dont blow the pl off and fly to polynesia. The extra time you spend getting there is made up by not waiting like everywhere in fl and everyone speckes English!
ОтветитьHomeowners insurance is high, property taxes are going up since it is based on the price of the house you purchased it for. I lived there three years and moved out. Florida is very expensive.
Ответитьlived in florida kissimmee and west palm beach - 10 years.....left....still miss it sometime....PROS: weather, Churches, beaches, coasts, big cities (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville) then a few miles down the road nice and rural...Long drives with car to cruise, good restaurants-lots to choose from, great wildlife - gators, manatees, panthers, etc..cool to see, Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc...Daytona 500, car shows, Sports teams, Football, College and Pro Football, Spring Training, Nightlife, no snow, .............CONS: Lower wages, lack of quality healthcare and doctors, southern inefficiency, bad attitudes from southerners and Floridians, Puerto Rican gangs, emphasis on Spanish language and culture, Expensive housing, Hurricanes, insects, bugs, small lizards running around, a feeling of "NO CULTURE", Lots of wealthy, elderly people, and snowbirds that are arrogant, no change of seasons, that state just gets on your nerves after awhile...
ОтветитьI live in South Florida and it has gotten so expensive. Eventually, the music will stop, just not sure when. Looking to move but not sure where.
ОтветитьEveryone said to move to Florida because it’s so cheap compared to New York I watched it catch up to New York in 5 years . The houses on my block went from 150-180 in 2019 to 280-310 in 2022-23 that’s insane .
