What about JB 😅 lol
ОтветитьTbh this gotta be put on hammered dogshit
ОтветитьAtrocious
Ответитьone thing I have learned over the last 10 years or so is do NOT prep any kind of aluminium repair with a stone wheel on an angle grinder even flap wheels it makes things harder than it needs to be the stone will smear into the weld prep and give u a weld not at its best
And a bit of a fight to weld
a
a carbide in a die grinder single cut
Or a 4.5 inch carbide tipped blade on a 5 inch works best
For digging out cracked welds
The hole idea could help if the customer isn't feeding biggish boost into that there chilly core tank
And that looks like the case here there's a reason good core tanks have rounds where they can psi will find a corner to hinge on and flex the flats either side
I'm not saying you can't weld over angle grinder cuts and grinds you can
But ain't real nice I have done it myself in no pressure situations and it ussually ends messy
Mmm, using a grinding wheel? Not impressed with the weld. Can we say contamination.
Ответить" CLEAN ! "
ОтветитьWhat about the metal shards in the tank, won’t tiny pieces get stuck in ventilation unit
ОтветитьWill you purge the inside with Argon ?
ОтветитьHe really should not be using an abrasive wheel on aluminum, the material will embed into the aluminum. All prep work should be with stainless steel tools dedicated to aluminum.
ОтветитьThat is trash😂
ОтветитьYou don't need to drill holes at the end if you know how to weld drilling holes at the end is actually for cast iron to make sure that the weld is a nice weld at the ends
ОтветитьWow nice repair. Complete with metal debris and everything to be blown in to the engine!! 😂
ОтветитьTrue craftsman at work 💪 love seeing good repair jobs
ОтветитьNice to see someone doing a repair job where they actually give good advice and do it right... Very nice job.
ОтветитьI ran to the comments to see the Welders rage
ОтветитьWhy’s dude not answering comments regarding the particulate
ОтветитьNo need for holes in aluminum. That comes from cast iron work. Cast iron you drill holes. Not aluminum
Ответитьdid you pressure test it after your weld?
ОтветитьClose your eyes and tell me he doesn't sound like John C Riley
ОтветитьSome booger welds, but it'll hold.
ОтветитьThat weld looks terrible
ОтветитьYou sound like Adam McKay, lol.
ОтветитьIt doesn't have to be pretty to be effective. All these elitist TIG welders are ridiculous.
ОтветитьI'm just being a smart ass good job guy
ОтветитьYour hired
ОтветитьShouldn't you clean out the metal shavings inside after drilling? Before sealing the metal inside...?
ОтветитьNothing like shavings and grinder dust inside a radiator with booger welds to hold it together
Ответить😂😂nasty ass glob welds you just put after talking shit about the weld that looked 10 times better then urs 😂😂😂
ОтветитьBut it is an air cooler, the crack is to let the air escape... :D :D
Ответитьa car dentist
ОтветитьI'm not sure what the drilling in this case would actually do. Find the end of the crack, start welding an inch on the safe side and you're practically making the crack disappear. A welded joint won't know where the hole was.
ОтветитьAs a blind welder with 35 years experience, I can honestly say I'm glad I can't see this mans crack.
ОтветитьHuge mula involved on aluminum fuel tanks.... !! No one wants to-do them up in the Muskokas !!
ОтветитьIntercooler...costs 200 to 500, this weld job, cost 700...
ОтветитьMaybe some ridges across the panel to stiffen it and reduce vibration would prevent it cracking again...
Ответитьslick
Ответитьc'est quoi cette tenue de torche, sur du un peu plus épais vous auriez malgré les gants transformez vos doigts en merguez bien grillées
ОтветитьNo pressure test?
ОтветитьI don't even weld and that looks terrible to me.
ОтветитьNope - swarf inside the intercooler headed towards the engine....just replace it
ОтветитьI think you should have said no, you can't weld aluminium.
ОтветитьIt may be a functional weld. Its just so crooked and looks like shit. Hooe it all works out.
ОтветитьWhat lurks inside....
ОтветитьLooks like shit
ОтветитьWhat about the metal shavings from drilling in the intercooler now? Use plumbers grease on the drill bit
ОтветитьThat is some sloppy ass work
ОтветитьDUDE!BUT THAT MUSIC WAS TOP SHELF!
ОтветитьThat looks like crap
ОтветитьSo didnt use oil on the drill bit.. shavings inside the cooler now. Not to mention from the grinder. The welds look like crap. People paid for that? I be pist.. unless it was a 20$ job
ОтветитьMan needs a career change...tig ain't in chief...them welds gonna crack next year too
Ответить
