I have listened to rap my entire life. I have been a fan of Tupac, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Souljaboy, TI, BIG, and many others.

So one would assume its substance had ulterior motives, but a ‘beef with Drake’… who cares?!! All of those white fans in the stands pretending to be interested, while their ears were bleeding, acting entertained so they wouldn’t appear racist on camera.

I quit watching when Colin Kaepernick started taking a knee. I have since quit watching all professional sports, news, and any tv shows. I watch very few movies even. It just got to the point where all the fun was gone, all the enjoyment, the break from real life. Now I watch a few old shows and a few old movies. I'm happier and healthier mentally now.

I'm a nearly 41 year old white woman. My behavioral disorder special ed 8th graders asked me if I was going to watch the half time show. I told them I wasn't familiar with Kendrick Lemar and I really don't care about football all that much. I explained to them the last time I was really into a half time show was when it was Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige... that is the music I grew up with and still listen to. My students know I like pretty much everything except for country and newer rap. And you know what, they accepted that. It's not a racist thing. It's an age thing. I grew up listening to "oldies" and mo-town in the car with my mom in the 80's. I grew up with hair bands, metal, and 90's rap. I like what I like and I'm at an age that I'm not looking to keep up with the newest performers. If 13 year olds can understand that, liberals should be able to also.

Black folks as a community need to get their stuff together as well and need start taking some responsibility and accountability for their community. Most of the problems within their communities can be traced back to themselves. They have a terrible and destructive culture, they have terrible morals, they also have terrible values, they are the community of crime basically, and etc. A community that once was prosperous and overwhelmingly positive, has become the thorn in this nations side.
