HF will probably be crap LOL, 10, 11 & 12 meter, but higher freqs should be Ok like 2 meter and 70cm, FM radio should be ok too they black out the higher freqs up into the 2 ghz (Cell phone, wifi and bluetooth 800+mhz) because the wave just over powers the device signal, most all equipment can handle up to an X20 solar flare just fine, the 1800s Carrington event was an X45 and no matter what or how much protection you have, good luck clamping that!
dont hook your radio up to an out side long wire or antenna until its past us, normally around 24 to 48 hours, or have a second radio you are willing to lose LOL

If we are at the solar maximum, it won't be just a disruption in our internet. It will take out electricity, cell phones, and anything else that runs on any type of electricity and could effect battery operated devices also. There are ways to protect your devices while this event is going on.

So, if this already happened 10-11 yrs ago(2014/2015) & they say the solar cycle happens every 10-11 yrs, then they DO KNOW when it'll end. They just said it happens every 10-11yrs. So, how long did it take to go through the solar maximum when it happened 10-11 yrs ago? Days, weeks?
