Good job bubby!!!!!
ОтветитьTop content brother one question how to make my cursor same green color like yours
Ответитьgratz on docker as a sponsor + did you hear the news of native container support on macOS 26?
Ответитьhello, thanks for the video, I have any question, what the difference of running through the new Docker Desktop instead of any Ollama or LM Studio ?
ОтветитьAwesome stuff! Updating Docker right now! Haha
ОтветитьHaving the models running in docker is for sure the best feature, now you don't have to mess with Ollama or something on the side and connect things it's just all nicely integrated.
I wonder how Podman will respond to this? Not that I really use it but I kind of wish I did haha.
It's going too fast.
ОтветитьCan’t wait to be able to run a decent model locally so I can drop cursor subscription
Ответитьif you want to setup a dedicated server for hosting locally look into open-webui
Ответитьdocker desktop? nope. i go full "docker engine" from the terminal.
ОтветитьFirst, I am mind blown. Second, great job with the sponsor from Docker and with the video, very straight to the point and clear! I will use this today!
ОтветитьSo much work to just create a pr or a github issue? Doesn't look appealing to me.
ОтветитьNew angle unlocked, lets gooo
ОтветитьThank you for the content! This is awesome. I’m definitely going to be playing around with it
ОтветитьMy man over here giving us whiplash from his thumbnail to the video going from full beard to no beard lol
ОтветитьThank you for this quick demo video! Is it possible to make cursor's agent mode use the locally running model for coding? I understand that performance or quality is unlikely to be comparable to the GPT/Claude/Gemini models, but still, having the ability to make that work would be so cool!
ОтветитьYou should make a video on creating a chat agent which acts as the MCP client and then build your own MCP server which is talked to by the client. I think non-ide use cases are valuable for MCP in the agentic architecture
ОтветитьMostly useless id say
Ответитьfirst useful mcp video i’ve seen
ОтветитьDid they made an update for docker desktop? I've been using orbstack but might switch back again
Thanks for the video, it was usefull!
Watching this video just made me realize how fragile literally EVERY COMPANY in this world is. No company is safe from vanishing. I mean a company making billions today can go bankrupt tomorrow. AI is not anyone's friend!
ОтветитьCongratz on your baby!
ОтветитьHey webdevcody, i have a quick question, i know you mentioned docker desktop specifially but can I use this entirely on docker-cli? Which is what i usually use all the time and have?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьSend you said docker sponsors this video, you lost me!
ОтветитьGood work sun!
ОтветитьNice video.
ОтветитьCan it use the GPU on a Mac? I was running Ollama in Docker and had to switch to run it locally on my Mac because through Docker it only used the CPU
ОтветитьThis helped a lot, thanks man
Ответитьwish it was podman
ОтветитьSo why pull ollama for your cmd box
ОтветитьThat’s a great video! Didn’t know docker had such easy way to connect models and mcps, neat, will definitely try it out
ОтветитьI must be missing something, but why wouldn't cursor use a github MCP directly, but instead use it through docker MCP? whats the advantage of going through docker MCP? Thanks!
ОтветитьI'm not able to get the MCP thing work. I wanted the Hashicorp Terraform Server to Work.I enabled in Docker. On Cursor's Settings I already got the MCP_Docker. If i click the pencil i get the exact same command from Docker, but it still says 0 tools enabled. I restarted Cursor, still no go. Also i tried with a prompt, it's not using the MCP. If i try to create a new one, the mcp.json will open, prefilled with the docker run command. I also activated GitLab (that one showed up)
