auto ISO in SLOG3 ?
ОтветитьThe ZV-E1 is a badass run and gun documentary camera due to the built-in mic and dynamic active stabilization.
ОтветитьIs Alaska that depressing? Or is it just the grading?
ОтветитьThis was a really helpful video on many levels, got more than I was expecting thank you and hopefully you have fun doing this!
ОтветитьEven, I have watched you for years. You are so talented and have a really big heart. This video and story are beautiful!
ОтветитьHow do change in settings zv e 1 to use aperture ring manually? (By actually rotating it left/right )
Am using sigma 18-50 mm.
Shooting manually.
Thanks
came here for ZV-E1, left here with sooooo much valuable knowledge on how to do documentaries that I am simply blown away! Thanks
Ответитьbut are you getting the compression with clear image zoom? cause if not then you are not actually getting a longer focal length.
ОтветитьI looked up Clear Image Zoom and was confused about whether or not that would work in movie mode or only in still mode based on what I found. There is also something called Smart Zoom which is different and may work in movie mode under 120p? Did you mean Smart Zoom or was firmware updated so Clear Image Zoom also works In movie mode? Thx for the video.
ОтветитьHi, did you had any overheating issues ?
ОтветитьJeven, curious, can you record directly to an SSD drive instead of using and SD card?
ОтветитьSlog2 ? my zv e1 don't have slog2
Ответитьno gatekeeping just knowledge to help people! thankyou
ОтветитьThis is awesome. I served 9 years in the Coast Guard and one of my duty stations was in Kodiak, Ak. I think it would be cool to make a documentary about the people of Kodiak and the history of the Coast Guard there.
ОтветитьI always ebjoy your content.
Thabks for all the hardwork!
I have got му got Sony ZV-E1and 24-70 lens for my travels. Thank you for your work and review! Great job! I have a question should I use nd filters in any weather? I mean before I think those filters only for sunny days. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video, thx. I recently shot with these 2 cameras too but i found they couldn't match frame rates exactly. They either did 23.98 or 24 but not both. Did you find a way to match frame rates exactly? Perhaps i missed a setting
Tx.
Me: I wonder how he managed to shoot a documentary with the zve1, considering the overheating issues
clicks
“So I went to Alaska”
Ahhh. I see.
please, tell me about 4k 60 fps overheat with 1.02 firmware 😀
ОтветитьAny con on zve1 i think all camera has negative too
ОтветитьAmazing video, thanks for it. I love zv-e1. But I have two questions: You say you use auto iso. But this camera has two native isos - 640 and 12800, why would you want ignore this? Usually I use 640 and I cant, I go for 12800 and reduce it with VND. Sencond question, is that Ulanzi tripod compatible with DJI RS 3 mini, or do I need to switch plates?
ОтветитьGlad to see your doing so well...ya never know what comes after Santa Monica City TV
ОтветитьThis was a very good and informative video! Thanks a lot. For that type of project, did you mostly use AF and if so, what settings worked best? Thanks for all this :)😊
ОтветитьI am torn between buying ZV E1 and the FX30? I have an A1 and want a video camera to do behind the scenes and run and gun clips.
The AF is very important as I work with animals and so fast tracking is key!
I love the sensor in the ZVe1 and think the af would be better for what I do?
But the build of the FX30 is superior and the two memory slots is a huge plus?
The ZVe1 is being labelled as just a vlogging camera by many pros but I am thinking that what Sony is doing is actually giving us an FX3 quality camera at the best price they can?
Tough question but any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Love your work and videos are so helpful thank you
DJI mavic
ОтветитьI have a DJI magic air, and I’m 12 years old
ОтветитьSo out of curiosity I decided to look at the Sony Create Action page. I thought it would be something interesting to look into. However upon learning about it it was rather disappointing to learn that it mainly focuses on prioritizing organizations that push woke messaging rather than actually helping minorities. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise. American's and most who live in a western culture really don't have a grasp on what oppression really looks like and large corporations and 501c3's push these narratives all in the name of appearances and making money.
If someone really wants to make a difference in peoples lives, they should find people that actually need help. Find someone that actually needs food on their table, a roof on their head, provide life coaching, and cloths on their back. Then enable them not to become victims for social media virtue signaling, but rather to become better versions of themselves to build a better future.
Nevertheless this isn't a slam at all towards Jevon or his content. Large corporations do what large corporations do and money is money. It's just a gross disappointment when they want to promote grants to biased organizations that think oppression is when someone doesn't care about your pronouns or skin color when in reality there's organizations out there that are whole heartedly trying to invest to help and keep anyone that walks their way out of domestic violence, gangs, human trafficking, prostitution, or starvation and provide a means to preserve life with caring people, a home, food, an ability to earn, or education. If there's a place for those organizations to apply please let me know.
Wanted to love the ZV-E1 but found the LCD low quality and hard to check focus. I sold it for the a7CII and couldn't be happier.
ОтветитьIts Good Bro
Ответитьis the viewfinder electronic? I only work with EVF because of sunlight, and I want to see how the pictures will turn out
ОтветитьJeven! This is one of my favorite videos. I love the BTS and seeing how you made it all happen.
I love how you keep the gear light and simple. Two cameras and three lenses! and how Jake is using simple Apple headphones.
This is my style of documentary film making. I travel to interview tattoo artists and I do my best to do what you do. I have gone from the FX3 to FX30 and now using the Sony A6700. So with the A6700, I use a Sigma 10-18mm 2.8 and the Sony ECM-M1 mic. Love this combo!
Not least, I love how you found the story when you were on location. This is something I had to learn. Going to a location without a story but trusting that you will find one.
JUST AWESOME!
What are your thoughts on the A7CR, A7CII, and ZV-E1 after using them for a while? I was excited for the A7CII for it's hybrid capability but the 4k60 crop seems like it would get frustrating and might be a dealbreaker. The lack of an EVF on the ZV-E1 for reviewing shots and sunny weather also seems tough to work around, along with the worse hybrid capability and low MP. A7CR looks like a decent balance but terrible rolling shutter and worse high ISO performance.
ОтветитьHaving six Sony cameras, especially ZVE1 and the A7S three, I was extremely interested to see if the same sensor means the same image. Oddly enough after filming with the same exact lenses in the same exact spot, simultaneously, a7s3 showed way higher Dynamic range Than the ZVE1, which is kind of weird because it’s the same sensor .
ОтветитьWhen you say you set your preferences for different film speeds, did you do that on a button or in your favorites section. Can you clarify this for us? Thanks. The project looked very interesting.
ОтветитьThis is an insanely great video ... Not only entertaining, but very informative.
ОтветитьCheers so much 😊
Jampacked with great tips, know how plus steps on how to do it ❤
Very nice day 😎🤝
ОтветитьI'd be interested to see how this would do in warmer climates. Just tested this camera out here in Pennsylvania and loved it. But, with our current temps there is no concern for heat limitations. I'd love this camera as a travel video camera, but still on the fence how it would do in say a southwestern National Park come July.
ОтветитьThere is no link to the actual documentary on the screen. Would be nice to see it
ОтветитьReally cool great video
ОтветитьThanks Jeven. Hey I saw you on Best Buy website! That's cool
ОтветитьIt's a great video, and the whole story is incredible.
Good job guys.
I wish I could go with you next time.
This is inspiring as I watch.
Thanks.
