Another great episode, always love to hear the 80s-early-90s OGs. The audio levels seem pretty variable in this one, I had to keep turning it up or down, Steve sounds kind of quiet compared to everyone else.

Man Armando would be awesome, one of the original street cat who really influenced the everyday poor Latinos to skate.

Steve won’t remember this but he managed to get Justin Gerald’s signature on a Christmas card in the early 90’s for me 🙏 I really can’t remember how this came about it might have been to do with a comp? I’ve still got the card👀

411 videos were HUGE in getting FLIP skateboards started / big in the US for sure.

The one and only time that I met Jeff Phillips , on Kauai, back in 1991, he had told me and my friends a story about Steve Douglas. Jeff and Steve and a bunch of other pros were on a plane either coming from or going to Europe . Some passengers on the plane started getting wily and out of control and Steve didnt miss a beat and he subdued and choked the loudest and most confrontational of the guys getting out of control so the guy would stop . In front of all the passengers the pilot and stewardesses thanked Steve because he has shut down the dumbasses! I think they got free drinks or something. Pretty rad!

Another good one. Was curious about the reissue series with World. Tried to look up any info on it, and couldn't find anything. Even pre-order links. (There was one skate shop in the UK, called Conflict, that had a pre-order option, but nothing in the state).. Anyone know more about this?
