Yes. This deck is much better than quasar rogue. Quasar is countered by having a big board. This one does 30 damage from hand turn 7.

About the use of cover artist: I suppose when you watch some videos from Dane in which he plays rogue and pulls of some really crazy turns with Sonya and cover artist then you can understand the hope for over the top combos against control decks, or the hope to make combos more consistently by having more possible combos (in short: cover artist reduced by 3 with the mini pirate, often played on Sonya granting a free Sonya in hand, getting more free copies from reduced spells, but I figure you could also play it on the spell damage and spellburst minion for more spell damage, or even draw if necessary)

Just played this with Warrior, and played Boomboss, he played the mage to draw spells, and it drew a TNT that killed his Sonya in deck lol. But great video :)
