In October I visited the Lake District. On my first day I visited the beautiful village of Grasmere, the famous Gingerbread shop that has been selling its produce since the 19th century. I also visited William Wordsworth’s grave as well as the museum dedicated to him and Dove Cottage where he used to live. I then followed a trail to the Rydal Cave and afterwards I went to Rydal to see Rydal Mount, one of other places where William Wordsworth lived but unfortunately it was closed on the day I visited. I managed to see the famous Grot and Waterfall at Rydall Hall. I then took the bus to Windermere where I was staying. I ended up my day reading the journal by Dorothy Wordsworth which I bought at the museum that I visited earlier during the day. I heard the passages from Dorothy’s journal and her words moved me deeply so I decided to purchase her journal.
I hope this little recording will bring you a glimpse you into the Lake District.
