For the love of god, learn how to pronounce Tecumseh
ОтветитьThank you Donnie. God[Bible] Bless you.
ОтветитьThis was incredibly helpful. I watched all your Tecumseh videos. My old simplicity wouldn't idle, backfired, hunted. The tiny hole on the main jet body and the carb adjustment along wth the tiny breather on the carb exterior fixed my issues. Purring!
ОтветитьThank You, very much.
ОтветитьThanks for all your great videos, They have helped me a lot. First time using my older Craftsman 9/28 this season and discovered that the engine does not run at idle, low speed. This summer I completly disassembled it, used a ultrasonic cleaner and as per your videos, cleaned every orfice with welding tip cleaners and blew them out with compressed air. After the cleaning It ran great at both idle and low speed so I thought that it was all good. Had some snow today and discovered that it will only run at full speed or it will turn off when it reaches the off circuit switch. What am I missing? I have another spare carb ready to swap out as well as 2 other blowers so its no big deal other than getting it to run correctly through the throttle range. Thanks for any advice.
ОтветитьA solid use for an old E or B guitar string
ОтветитьHow do you find this stuff? Or know about it?
ОтветитьThank you very good to know 😊
ОтветитьYour videos are very informative and to the point. Most appreciate all your continues help and videos
ОтветитьAwesome tip, Thanks for all you do.
ОтветитьI used a wire cleaned the vent hole and blew it out, rebuild kit, still flooding. What can still cause this?
Ответитьwhat is the purpose of this hole?
ОтветитьBroooo. ..
Lucky I stumbled upon your video by accident.
The amount of time I have wasted on this carb... you have just saved me from wasting so many more hours on this.
I will like and subscribe to show my appreciation (from New Zealand).
Too much Bro, you are THE MAN!
Solved my problem. God bless you!
ОтветитьThanks Dony! You're like a superhero, always there to save the day!
All the best! 🍁🇨🇦🥌
👍👍
ОтветитьInteresting that the carb off a snowblower has the hole, but a carb off a generator doesn’t . Both engines are H50.
ОтветитьHello donyboy please record video how to start chain saw when don't work one year
ОтветитьI might see if my dads Honda lawnmower carburettor has the same hole because it tends to run.bit rich (black smoke under load on acceleration) !
ОтветитьDidn't we just see this?
ОтветитьThat would be a #79 or #80 drill bit
ОтветитьImposible to get parts of this model
ОтветитьAwesomeness!!!
ОтветитьI purchased a generic replacement carb for my Tecumseh engine from Amazon (0HH60 engine, 6 HP). I have the leak problem as described but I cannot find the the vent hole anywhere???!! I've look over this thing extensively and it's a new carb so there's no dirt to hide the hole. It has the red bulb. Can anyone help??
ОтветитьTK U again our friend
ОтветитьTankyou
ОтветитьThere's little plastic piece and every time we push the primer. Gas squirts off that little where the plastic hole is is there a reason why
ОтветитьMy carburetor has a little plastic piece on the side. And every time we push the primer it's worth gas i'm
ОтветитьI just cleaned, then adjusted the float of my Tecumseh carb because it was surging. When I put it back together and opened the gas valve that vent started leaking gas.
I adjusted the float again with no change.
Thoughts?
Im only here to learn how to pronounce ’Tecumseh’. Still not convinced 😂
ОтветитьGood info thank you, so much for the help.
ОтветитьI did learn that
ОтветитьIf primer bulb has a hole in middle may not matter
ОтветитьWhat if gas is coming out the vent hole?
ОтветитьThanks for the video but it is not pronounced teh-cum-see it his pronounced teh-cum-seh
ОтветитьI was fixin to buy a new carb because I couldn't figure out why it kept leaking.
Donyboy73 is the shiznit!
On a Briggs & Stratton snowblower engine, is there an equivalent hole? I checked mine but just couldn't find any...
ОтветитьThank You!
ОтветитьWhy would fuel keep spitting out of that hold when you prime it?
ОтветитьI've been pulling the primer bulb tube after priming to provide a vent. I can't see the hole where you're showing it.
ОтветитьHave an 8/25 craftsman blower that runs decent but then stalls out. Plug keeps coming out a little wet when it happens but not black. It'll run again if you start it back up but I never saw that hole when I got it running again after it sat for 10 years. Messing with the adjustments repeatedly and checking compression hot (low at 118psi??). Maybe this hole is blocked!
ОтветитьThanks bro, appreciate your video and anwser to other. Got my snowblower working perfectly because of you, replaced the carburetor with a new one, but fuel was leaking crazy from the overflow, opened the tank, float was defect. Replacing with my old float and everything is perfect.
ОтветитьExactly my problem
ОтветитьWish I knew about this a month ago! Would have saved me a bunch of time, money and frustration!
ОтветитьWhat would cause the carb bowl not filling up with gas. I cleaned the carb, everything is open and clean. After turning engine over 20 times there is absolutley no gas in the bowl. Would that be the float needle valve not letting fuel into the bowl of the carb.
ОтветитьThank you for this info. I couldn't figure out why it kept leaking out. I had to use an airhose placed over the hole to clean mine completely. I even used a thin guitar string that went far in there, but the airhose is what opened it up
ОтветитьJust seeing this video, I have a few questions.
I rebuilt the Tecumseh carburetor on a lawnboy 6.5 hp mower (10685). Same carburetor you have shared videos about years ago.
Do they have the vent hole like the one you reference in this video?
Also what causes wide open rpm’s at start up? The carburetor is serviced, and linkage placement is correct. The pull cord had the kickback when starting it but not sure related. I notice some play in the small idler arm mounting clip/bolt that protrudes from the block… could this be causing wide open throttle?
Ye Gods....where does it end! 🤪
ОтветитьDon boy you are the man with the master plan 👊🏽
ОтветитьHoly crap I'll guarantee you not very many people at all know about that you just saved of headaches thank you Donny awesome tip
