The Neemrana Music Foundation children choir in rehearsal with Natasha Vaz.

Since its creation ten years ago, The Neemrana Music Foundation set up the ambitious program of providing weekly singing classes, conducted by Natasha Vaz, to children from underprivileged families at the Khushii NGO centre, as well as visually challenged children from the Blind Relief Association in Delhi. In addition, they regularly organize workshops with internationally recognized teachers travelling from abroad.

These children will be performing in the Foundation’s 10th anniversary Gala concert on December 6th, 2014, in New Delhi where they will get the opportunity of performing on a major stage, along with a cast of over a hundred professional artistes!

The Neemrana Music Foundation was founded by Francis Wacziarg with the aim of training young musicians and singers from India to acquire professional skills in the field of Western Classical Music. Every year, this training culminates in a grand opera performance conducted by them, receiving many accolades from audiences everywhere.

Among the many singers who started as children or young adults in the Foundation’s choirs, some have received scholarships from them to study abroad, and are now making a career in the West. The Foundation is also creating opportunities for them to come back and perform in their own country.

The Neemrana Music Foundation's education programme for children is being supported by European Union.
