is this new groupset compatible with a specialized enduro expert s3 2023???
ОтветитьWhat shifter do you like most?
ОтветитьMore refined for less money... Oh wait, it's clickbait. Nevermind.
Ответитьpossibly the ugliest cranks in tthe market
ОтветитьThe new axs crank arms look ugly compared to the gx cranks I have on my bike now.
Ответитьshow mw the inside of your seat stays after a year and tell me if your frame manufacture will cover the damage from the shitty drivetrain. SRAM is dodger crap.
ОтветитьAll shills only hitting on the upper part of the derailleur instead of the lower part which is the second most likely part to bend after the derailleur hanger of old, ridiculous pointless crap testing just for marketing.
ОтветитьWhere do you get the compatible bottom bracket?
Ответитьi assume the sweet spot would be to mix in this groupset with the x0 casstte, which seems like it still has the xdome technology that the GX doesn't have. tangible weight savings and definitely extremely durable. I'd be interested to see if this new GX cassette holds up any better, but I have a feeling that those single piece cassettes are still king (and honestly one of the best selling points of sram groupsets, both for road and mtb)
ОтветитьSo removing the sacrificial and going straight for bending your frame is a good idea? Yet more tech I won't be buying
ОтветитьThis only makes sense on a complete IMHO too expensive. The only benefit is shifting under load which no one cares about except XC racers. The climbs here are so steep i dont shift a lot from lowest to hardest and the other way around at the top and bottom of the trail. The only thing i care about is the chain staying on. I break the stuff regularly and a full gx derailleur is cheaper than any replacement part on the transmission so it absolutely makes no sense for Enduro riding IMHO. The old mechanical and axs stuff is good enough. I love that they bring this new stuff out because it makes the old XO1 stuff so cheap. Now i can get a XO1 derailleur for 159 EUR and a gx for 88 EUR and a XO1 cassette for 248 because. My only fear is that they discontinue the GX mechanical.
ОтветитьMy local bike shop has had a few of them coming back for warranty replacement
ОтветитьFor the price difference between the GX group and X0, I would take the GX and swap the cassette for a Garbaruk one. Then it's lighter then X0 and still much cheaper...
I truly question why X0 is even there if you look at price/weight now they released the GX version. It's just not worth it anymore...
I have an Ibis V2s and I’m considering T Type, what i’m interested to know is how the crank lines up to the v2s 155mm chain-line, for instance do you space it out after removing the ibis isg05 mount as you don’t need it anymore and how close do them bash guards get to the chainstays as the rings are always very close on the Ripmo ✌️
ОтветитьMy xx1 transmission cage bent like a tin can...
ОтветитьHey, do you have any info on whether you can change just the derailleur (for the old gx axs) and use existing chain and sprockets? Are the rollers on the new one any different then on the old one? Thanks
ОтветитьNever liked Sram and Most of All
I Hate Electronics.
even if it will trickle down to $50
i still dont want Electronic transmission on my Bike period
Have to disagree re mech impacts... Ime it is mainly the cage taking riding impacts and either clipping that on rocks or hidden stumps etc or sticks getting stuck in cage & wheel. Laying the bike drive side down isn't the concern for potential consumers!
And basically saying you didn't test real world impacts for 'video entertainment' doesn't really cut it for a review & test video!
I guess it's good you admitted (after the fact) the impact testing was purely for entertainment (and obviously garnering sales!) & not a serious review video. Missed opportunity to really test this system v traditional.
Good that the cages swap easily tho... So well done sram. How long the support parts for remains to be seen of course.
So you can't run a mullet setup with a T-type?
ОтветитьTest rode it today… was pretty under whelming, shifting is way slower than expecting and under load shifting is no where near as refined as Shimano. But I look forward to testing the cable version when released.
ОтветитьWhat’s messing me up is I don’t want to pay for xo but I hate the gx crank, chain and the cassette lol. I hate the chrome! lol. If I can find xo a bit cheaper, I’m sold
ОтветитьI want to love sram drivetrains, I really do, but my cable GX AND GX AXS shift like utter crap compared to my Shimano XT. Like it’s not even close. I hope transmission improves on the shifting.
Ответитьcan i run the xo crank set with the rest of the drivetrain being the gx t type?
ОтветитьWas wondering if the deraulier is attached or held in place say when swapping out tires. Kind of looks as though the axle holds it . Thanks
ОтветитьYou most certainly did NOT hit the derailleur with the equivalent of a hYpErSoNIC BasEBaLL. Momentum and kinetic energy are not interchangeable terms.
ОтветитьThe older cassettes were one piece on the GX. I have one on my 2016/17 trek fuel ex 8. Now the GX cassettes are all pinned which is bollocks. Considering I paid a premium for the bike. Does annoy me to no end that the quality is going downhill rather than setting bars.
ОтветитьI have the GX, and I must say the coating on the cassette and chain of the X0, XX models is a noticeable improvement in smoothness and noise. The GX works the same and is maybe more durable, but the shifts are loud and don’t have the immensely smooth gear meshing the other models have.
ОтветитьWhere do they get these prices? 1600 USD VS 1000 USD? The Shimano XT m8000 is 90 bucks. XTR M9000 Shifter 100 USD. Works amazing and I can shift through the range with 2-3 presses.
Ответить@fanatik does the bash guard on the chain ring work like a chain guide as well can’t see the one I have on my trek fuel exe running over that?
ОтветитьI mixed up X01 with GX derailleur. They must have changed the design on the GX for a reason . Battery is less exposed than on the higher price models .
ОтветитьSmashing from the side is a common use case but how would this derailleur do with a 1" stick stuck in the spokes wrapping it backwards?
ОтветитьCan I use my existing Hope 155 specialized ebike cranks with the GX System?
ОтветитьWireless derailleurs are bike industry hair splitting when it comes to the term 'upgrade'.
when considering the overall effectiveness and efficiency of both wireless and cable systems the difference is negligible . it's like the difference between cloth seats and leather in a car . both will perform well but one will cost waay more due to the coolness factor.
Of course when someone pays much more because of they are enamored with prestige , they will argue endlessly , searching for even the minutest difference to justify their purchase .
It's fine to "upgrade " if you can afford it but dont fool yourself into believing it's that much better . It ain't !
Would love to try one these out ixjust bought an new embt came with XT one not used it yet but always fancied one these just the price is crazy after spending 5k on the bike in a Jan sale or would been 7k so kindda assuming XT will do for a while i think just cause its brand new embt never had one before not had an mtb for a few year's now so not tried tge new geometry of them either so its going to be an experience lol
Ответитьi've some fine 5dev cranks and absolute black oval rings (t-type compat), am i able to buy the rest of the drivetrain ala-carte ?
ОтветитьCan these be mounted on a non UDH frame? I have the BMC URS LT Two that came with the SRAM AXS GX 12sp, love it but tired of bending the hanger 😛
ОтветитьJust put the GX on my E-bike it's a game changer!!!
ОтветитьComposite looks nice for longer. When aluminum is scratched it exposes the bare aluminum, composite is the same color all the way through.
Ответитьwhy would any healthy, self-loving person be radiating himself with 2.4GHz radiation and polluting the nature with it, as well as paying gigantic money for something that works as a 15 usd cable alivio? yes, these are all definition of stupidity.
ОтветитьAll that effort to try to shift as good as Shimano XT😂
ОтветитьI get the that the GX is heavier, different materials, and cheaper. But the title says it's more refined. Somehow after watching the video I missed the "more refined" part. Anyone have an idea?
Ответитьbroo lookin exactly like the Hr rep from the office xD
ОтветитьThe pogo pins that connect to the battery will eventually collapse and since there is no way to solder a new one in on the T-type axs your $600 -$1200 derailleur will be garbage if outside of warranty. That includes all second hand owners. Since the entire drivetrain works together you won't have the option to just buy a mechanical either.
ОтветитьI test rode a bike with T-Type and loved the shifting under power but those pod shifters suck, wish you could opt for the V2 paddle and not have to spend another $200 for one. Oh, and why is the X0 crankset a half pound heavier than the old X01? For $1600 it shouldn’t be. And 200g heavier derailleur hanging off the back. Does the clutch work so it’s not flopping around?
ОтветитьI run the GX T-Type, and It really runs well. The derraliur works well and shifts really smooth, the battery placement is cool too! The cranks I find are very nice in 170mm and I do not run the bash guards on the ring, I run a separate bash/chain guide. The system works much much better then my SLX groupset. Sram is amazing!
Ответитьthe vocal fry is killing me on this one
ОтветитьHopefully they will make good drivetrains again after this electronic phase nobody asked for
ОтветитьDurable.....EXCEPT for the Pogo pins !!!!
ОтветитьThe spider power meter is actually more accurate than the spindle power meter (±1.5% vs ±3%), and it measures full 360° power. The spindle power meters only measure power from your left leg and doubles it to get full power.
