What about insurance costs? Are they comparable between the two bikes?

I like my NC700X in the stop and go traffic!

I have a question and hope that someone who has ridden both bikes can help me. The NC750 feels bottom-heavy, almost like a scooter. Is the AT top-heavy or bottom-heavy? My husband is interested in getting an AT, but he specifically wants a top-heavy bike. He loves my NC but is looking to upgrade his motorcycle.

What about the servicing difference between the two bikes?
The NC is very easy to home service, spark plugs and filters are easily accessible.
How does the AT compare?

Loved the video. Unfortunately the AT is too tall for me.. I’ll stick to the NC. Subscribed.

I have both models and I find it difficult to decide in favour of just the one.
The simple handling Honda NC with the high-torque engine and the practical helmet compartment.
Good, a little less power when overtaking.
Very economical in consumption.
The thoughts ?
Decelerating riding and the thought that you really need more to ride a motorbike.
Then the Honda CRF 1100 DCT from 2020 good chassis, the engine with some tractor character, enough power for everything with some weaknesses in the lower speed range not as strong as the Honda NC.
I am still drawn to the Honda NC, perhaps out of habit and the great practical benefits.
Besides this AT incredible handling and more power.but too much electronic gimmickry.
Where is my way going ?
feel like vohannes 🙃😀
I love to ride through German towns at 30 km without jerking on the NC
that doesn't work so well with the AT CRF 1100 DCT

I just bought an NC...perhaps not the right bike for me. Really lacks any excitement whatsoever. Dull, utilitarian bike and no fun to be found. I think it'll be back on the market before long.

Both heavy bikes. My little, nippy Tracer 700 is just 197kg without my top box and panniers.

The Africa Twin looks to be a beast, but probably not very practical relative to the NC750 unless you are planning some green-laning or such?

Would be interesting if you could do a comparison of your NC750 with an NT1100.

Good comparison. I have owned a 2014 NC750X since new, so almost 10 years now. I tried almost every new adventure bike on the market for the last 5 years to see if I want to upgrade and can honestly say, at least in my opinion, that there is not another bike with the allround ability, comfort and smoothness of the NC. I have just come back from a two-up ride on the new Transalp with my wife, and we both decided that we will stick with the NC for years to come. Admittedly I did modify my seats, put bar risers on, etc, etc, which made it a more tourable bike, but I paid so much less for the NC, that it was money extremely well spent. I now have 103 000km on the bike and it looks and feels almost new.

Thanks for the comparison. I have an NC750 manual and have been thinking about an upgrade. I can't put my finger on it but I have never felt fully comfortable on the NC750. Might be the wind buffeting. I have a DR650 and it handles fine to me. Have been looking at some older GS like 1150.

How does each bike carry its weight ? The NC has a low slung pitched forward engine with the fuel carried low down.
Is the AF top heavy ?
I have the 22 manual model that comes in at 218kg, has approx 10% more bhp, so the power to weight ratio is a little more relevant.
I’ve always liked the AF, but it’s size always put me off

Seeing you standing there with a bike either side the AT looks so much bigger and so much better.. It looks more comfy for the taller person too. MayI ask price comparisons?

At 5’6” with a 29 inch inside leg the Africa Twin is an absolute non starter for me. As you said, I’d miss the practicality of the frunk and I love the low revving nature of my 2021 NC. I plan to hang onto it for many years to come.
