ОтветитьJust so you know: The only characters from League are Cait, Vi, Jinx, Jayce, Viktor, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Singed (the chemist half-burnt guy shown at the very end) and the newest addition, Ambessa (Mel's mother). There willl be a couple more introduced later but it's kind of spoilers. The dude with the shield is a new character to us all (Arcane-exclusive). There aren't that many League characters here.
Ответитьjust lo let you know, none of the "new" characters of s2 till now are character of the game, all are "randoms" to say, however, Medarda, Mel's mother was just added as a character to the main game, and there's only two plot points that do relate to the game lore, but one is insignificant and the other one seems to be a thing to be explained later on
and regarding the interactions of the character that ARE in the game, except for two, all the others are currently doing things that are not already told in the game lore so even if you play the game or not everyone is basically in the same ground regarding expectations
the interactions that brough character to their current character in the game were all in s1 and they were pretty much just Vi's gauntlet, Jayce's hammer, Viktor's Hexcore and Caitlyn being a sherif
"Is he jungling right now?" He is definitely killing a jungle camp from the game lmfao.
Ответитьref
ОтветитьGame knowledge only spoils surprises, it's not required.
ОтветитьI like how you mention before the episode starts that you hope they live up to the standard of animation of the 1rst season. And when it has clearly been met in this first episode, you dont talk about it a single time in the post discussion.
ОтветитьI love how they showed Ambessa when they asked question about who helped the attack.
ОтветитьArcane is back
Ответить"is he jungling now?" lol you'd be surprised how accurate this is
ОтветитьThe first 3 episodes of season 2 are awesome. I hope you both enjoy watching them
ОтветитьYou seemed really angry and gloomy (guy) and like you didnt want to be in this reaction at all
I hope everything is alright, but yes, the funeral was dramatic...as every funeral should be 😅
And i do hope reactors realize they arent forced to watch something they are not enjoying
BTW, yall are wrong. Even we lore heads had no idea who that one drunk dude was. The fanservice you mentioned does happen, but that was the worst possible example to choose lol. If yall want to know what is fanservice then you gotta pay attention to ambesa and specifically singed, the doctor who helped silco and Victor. He's arcane's fanservice character.
ОтветитьCaitlyn is so hot and charming even when she's mad.
ОтветитьYes jungle singed
ОтветитьWas that a joke? Caitlin whole arc on arcane 1 was that she was a sheltered piltover "princess" who wanted to experience the real world, that's why she felt a lot of attraction towards vi. That whole scene with the key was for anyone to enjoy, it was just her taking her mother's mantle as the new family head and also honoring her memory. Yall trying to meta analyze the show is ruining your experience. I'm not talking about talking about speculating about the show and what happens there but the "oh, that surely is something for LOL players" stuff, there are some moments like that but they are pretty obvious, like the "post credit" scene. Don't over think it too much, just enjoy the show.
Ответитьyou’re thinking too much that every character are in the game , alots of it are actually new or made for the show in S1 and S2 , dont overthink it you did not made a blunder lol😂
ОтветитьThey made arcane with everyone in mind so that even if you dont have knowledge of the game you can enjoy it
ОтветитьI'd say 90% of the players of the game do not know or read the lore, so you aren't missing much context except potentially characters that could be introduced. You do not NOT know much
ОтветитьHyped for S2. I don't even know all the lore stuff as a league player but I think they did a good job.
ОтветитьNah, show is not really depending on people who know the lore. It's just not hand holding the audience, expects to be watched with attention, and that something said once doesn't need to be repeated.
ОтветитьLove your new haircut carson
ОтветитьMan got so distracted by the WoW music in the background during the discussion 😅
ОтветитьMost of the people playing league aren't interested in the lore at all so most of the people watching don't know what the future holds
Ответитьdude you overthinking too much... just forget that show is based on a game and enjoy it as it is
ОтветитьIm happy to tell yall, that while the fans ARE getting even more cool references and well known characters, from what I've seen so far, you're gonna be completely fine as a non league fan. It's also very important to remember that as this essentially still works as an origin story for all these characters, the VERY majority of this show is completely new, lore wise, AND there is plenty of changes, small and large that are made several characters. So my guess is you'll be completely fine on that front.
ОтветитьThe shield guy is not from the game and non of new character are. I understand what you think and scenes give this kind of feeling but they are not, they give exact sensation to players too
ОтветитьIt is just me pr Caitlyn constantly put her foot in her mouth when it comes to Zaun?
Like when she says to Vi she know what it feels like to watch her mother die. Sure, superficially that is true, but she straight up ignore the context: she's asking Vi to be a part of the same group that killed her parents and countless zaunites. It would have been a fair comparison if Vi had asked her to join Jinx's side, but with the current situation it just seems tacky
In terms of the memorial that gets attacked I think it's pretty reasonable. It can be assumed a week or two have have passed since the event given that in that time they've arranged and held Caitlyn's mother's funeral, which would have taken a bit of organising and had time to build the three statues. During that time there've been no further attacks and all their intel says this was Jinx acting as a solo operator and that the undercity is leaderless and in chaos. At a certain point for the good of morale you have to return to some semblance of normality and it's not like there weren't extra precautions. Everyone entering the ceromony was checked and they had a pretty heavy security perimeter, if the Zaunites didn't have help (as is implied) then their security likely would have been sufficent.
ОтветитьYo Carson I'm digging how your hairs coming along!
ОтветитьThey're def overthinking the "people who know" angle. I think it'd be better to NOT know anything. I already know what's going on with Viktor, & Singed with the wolves. Me knowing the game & lore has spoiled 2 plot lines already.
Its all just Easter eggs, nothing more. You're not missing anything.
The game itself doesnt have any lore, the lore is optional in stories, comics, and character descriptions.
So you arent missing anything compared to the average league player.
AND even compared to people who are interested and read/research the lore, you still dont miss much except references. Arcane works completely independant, the only thing you get from prior knowledge is knowing who a champion is (which doesnt mean anything really) and what universe things are (regions, cities, factions).
But even knowing that, because Riot has said they are trying to make everything they make canon, they are constantly retconning stuff from the games, so even prior knowledge barely matters.
Like 3 of the champions that appear in this show havent been updated since ages ago in the game, which means they will probably eventually do and make it fit more to Arcane because of its popularity instead of the other way around.
So, again, dont worry too much about what lore geeks know, Arcane works on its own and everything shown should be explained sooner or later in the same series, if it doesnt its not important yet.
Shield-guy isn't a game character, at least not a featured one. I think they give you time to look at him because of how he's dressed. My initial thoughts were "Who's this Bilgewater boy?"
ОтветитьVox Machina? Have u react to Legend of Vox Machina? I search for it and could not find it.
ОтветитьSo where is the uncut at? <_<
ОтветитьYou're wrong. There are not so many nods to the game. You are only assuming this because you know it's based on the game. Most of the characters from the game were already introduced.
To elaborate on why that scene hinted familiarity with the Vander like enforcer character and jinx's voice saying vi? is to highlight what was missing. That Vi is not completely over what she lost
why did trump still do a rally after almost getting shot ?
ОтветитьFinally.
ОтветитьThe characters in the show have are different than in the game. Ranging from character design, backstory, and personality. Not even people who have played the game for years knows what will happen. Stop obsessing over the game and just focus on the show.
ОтветитьNo this show has continued to not requiere game knowledge to get across everything necessary for the story, they did a good job not gatekeeping it from the mainstream audience, sure if you play the game you can notice extra stuff but you won't get an "incomplete" version if you don't play the game or know about the lore, you can relax about missing out stuff, you're not, just enjoy the episodes for what they are, in fact it might be a benefit not knowing about the game/lore cuz it can spoils big moments for you (for instance we players already know what the end scene with the wolves is all about so the element of surprise is ruined for us :( . That random drunk guy is not from the game, there's only one character that has a shield and would be similar to him but he's from another region and stuff so things won't add up, as far as we know he's just a random enforcer that happens to look like Vander and that might come up in play as his relationship with Vi continues.
ОтветитьThe op references some classic plays most obvious one is Cait with evil dictator Macbeth, Victor with Phantom of the Opera, Jinx with Les Mis and Ambessa-Mel looks like they are referencing Julius Ceaser. They are all famous tragedies.
