You May nog nie able tot list brand names, but you van answer questions like, "Is synthetic taurine the same molekule as what we get from beef heart. I have no doubted as tot your Gifts as a thinker. Add another dimension to your services. Help us identify dependable sources tot These compounds and possibly tips on using them. Otherwise your expertise in knowing which compounds works, will both be Isabel for the significantly less educated.

There's another element of the first graph worth discussing: The first dip in % alivbve, i.e., the very first death, in the Taurine group, happens much later. This potentially goes to the "all cause" reduction in risk, no? We could end up at a similar shift to the right with a less steep decline. Is the shape of the graph interpretable this way over small regions? Also, is it SAPS or SASPS (video vs audio)?

Taurine supplementation may be beneficial, however the dosing is important. Research shows that the digestive tract can absorb about 1g of taurine every few hours. Exceeding this, the unabsorbed taurine enters the colon, where sulfur metabolizing microbes release H2S. Small amounts of H2S are necessary, as signaling molecules. However, excessive amounts lead to inflammation and cause diseases, such as colitis and inflammatory bowel disease and cancer.

ANECDOTAL I started supplementing with Taurine as it's indicated to help with long covid [which I have] - I noticed an improvement in muscle mass and a reduction in body fat of about 3kg

As I can do NO exercise and have a strict diet I know this was the only change I made. The difference in muscle mass and tone was quite noticeable.

I do wonder where they sourced their taurine for these studies and how that relates to the higher blood fat levels etc. Specifically, if taurine was coming primarily from meat and animal products. Interesting stuff though!

Taurine is an amino acid -> protein. But we got no information about if the participants were in a protein deficient diet. Because if that is the case, the benefits of taurine could be attributed to that only.
