Pixies - Motoroller (Later... with Jools Holland)

Well, that was kinda hard to listen to. Sounds like the chorus wasn't written for their voices/ranges. Hated the effect on the guitar as well. I've liked a few of their songs in the past, but if this were my first time seeing them, it would have been a hard pass.

Dave Lovering is a machine

His voice sounds dreadful. Was he ill? Sounds good on the record but this wasn’t good.

Guitar and vocals are flat (out of tune). The silver lining is that it was actually live.

I'm a huge fan. This is very flat literally and figuratively.

We miss Paz
Emma is talented and I respect her, but you can’t just insert anyone with talent into a role and expect it to stick. People grew to love Paz. To fire her over a non political defense of her friend is awful. I don’t like Ariel Pink but come the hell on. A massive disservice to fans.
