I would have to add South by Southwest in Austin, Voodoo Experience in New Orleans. Only New Orleans could boast a three-day concert event on or near Halloween, attracted hundreds of music acts (both local and international), across six stages, in a park bigger the New York's Central Park filled with thousands of music fans and still not feel crowded.

All the Big Box Festivals... No Monterey Pop Festival Of 1967, no mention of the early 60s Newport folk Festival‘s, The Isle Of Wight 1970.

1974 Sedalia, MO festival. Best ever because I was there and you weren't.

Being among the 300,000+ at Sedalia, MO. Fest, July 19-21, 1974 I beg to differ with its exclusion. It was AWESOME. It ended up being Woodstock 2.

Check out Chicago's Super Bowl of Rock 3. on July 10, 1977. Only 5 bands but what a day. Journey, .38 Special, REO Speedway, Ted Nugent and Lynyrd Skynyrd. REAL ROCK AND ROLL.

Roskilde has a nice variety of music, and the people are usually chill here too. Also weed. Lots of weed.

MONTEREY POP FESTIVAL(1967) -(1st modern Music Festival and it had a amazing line up, it inspired many festivals, AND THE LATE GREAT BILL GRAHAM HELPED OUT ON THIS MASTER PIECE )

ISLE OF WIGHT (1970)- (Had a much better line up than Woodstock and instead of 400,000 it had 600,000-700,000 people attended )

CALIFORNIA JANM-(1974) ( A amazing line up for its time and over 250,000 attended )

SUMMER JAM AT WATKINS GLEN (1973)-
(Over 600,000 attended and at broke the world record for ”Largest audience at a pop festival” for it's time)

NEWPORT POP (1969)- (1st Music Festival from the later 60s to actually turn a profit instead of lose, the line up was amazing and over 200,000 attended)

BIZARRE FESTIVAL -(1988-2003)-(One of Germany's best music festivals and through the 90S had some amazing line-ups )

LILITH FAIR-(1997-1999)-(A female-fronted festival, we're every single band was primarily comprised of females and honestly a very interesting concept for it's time and had some decent line ups )

No one has heard of the Ozark Music Festival in 1974. It's known as the greatest festival no one has heard about. It was quite possibly the wildest 3 day party in the history of the USA. Bikers slaughtered local livestock and ate them. It's rumored the promoters brought in truckloads of pot and drugs. Topless girls were rolling joints in the McDonalds. There was a tunnel going into track and dealers were selling every drug known to man. The town ran out of water. It was crazy.

Woodstock 69 and the 4 main promoters belong in the R&R Hall of Fame.
