Absolute Wonder Woman is Fine & More Comic Recommendations

One reason why I’m not interested in Geoff John’s Geiger universe is because of delays. Especially with Fabok on art. So I’m not surprised to see a delay for Rook Exodus#7. It’s why I’ll wait until it’s been out for a few years and I can read the entire story at once.

Just the fact that Wonderwoman now gets the ancient Heracles origin story "Baby supposed to be killed by snakes" already proves that this thing cant have anything original in it.

A few haters here today not even commenting on this video but the livestream. Im a Batman fan who likes Damian, especially in Supersons. This Conan issue was probably my least favourite so far. I'm waiting for my copy of AWW to arrive, story sounds fine so far, art looks a bit iffy at times. Just read Rook, fantastic art. Can't decide whether i enjoy Rook or Redcoat more? Im holding off on Grommets, waiting for the trade, i enjoy 70's/80's nostalgia. Keep, keeping it real Wes, dont succumb to haters who think we all have to agree on everything.

I like Absolute WW. The one along the line of “the way parents love their children is by sending them away into the world” literally gave me goosebumps. It is a simple concept but so profound.

Not like DC could afford any with some knowledge of Greek or Roman history to get some facts right as hell has nothing to do with wonder witch as they still keep the Amazonian theme it should be elysium tartarus or asphodel fields not hell but you get what you don’t pay for.

I don't read Absolute Wonder Woman yet. I read Detective Comics 1090 and Tom Taylor did a very dumb retcon in the Waynes murders with Joe Chill being Thomas former patient. And again this was a very bad week for Marvel again. Not a single book worth to read.

Absolute Wonder Woman was better than okay. I thought it was actually very good, right up there with Absolute Batman. The design, the atmosphere, the growing relationship between Diana and Circe, fighting demons with a massive sword. It made me interested in this new setting and I'm looking forward to seeing more (as long as Kelly Thompson can keep up the momentum). I don't know why Drew says that this isn't Wonder Woman. The characterization is on point, it's only the setting that's changed which I really appreciated. It was still Diana.
I was also surprised you guys didn't have Hulk in the recommendations. It was a pretty good read and the story is progressing at a better pace now.

Man I hated this WW book. I don't think anybody who likes it actually likes Wonder Woman. Rook was definitely the best book this year.

As a normally silent viewer, I am not mad for your yesterday's stream, BUT Aaron and Science Talks Comics acted like toddlers. Thse guys treated that viewer like garbage and their arguments were really cheap.

I don't care about DC Comics and Marvel Comics anymore. Those Intellectual Properties have all been permanently ruined. I've grown past such such comic book universes and characters. Those companies and the people who work there don't want me as a part of their fandoms and readers. They all made that abundantly clear. I hope that they actually find those "modern fans" and "modern readers" that they are always talking about.

Sherman’s art was great. However the writing is really weak and uninspiring for such big launch issue. Boring dialogue. Felt like a really lazy unstructured script.
Zero hook and not engaging at all - which is true of The Cull, Black Cloak and Birds of Prey, all of Kelly Thompson’s recent work.
I loved Absolute Batman but I’ll not be picking up the second issue of this.

I think Mikel Janin's art has been great even in Tom King's run.

I honestly enjoyed Absolute Wonder Woman more than I did Absolute Batman, despite the uneven art and some instances of bad dialogue. Wonder Woman here felt more like Wonder Woman than Batman in Batman.

Rook: Exodus was kick-a$$. It wrapped up the first chapter nicely and dropped some info that makes me look forward to the next chapter.

Detective Comics would be fine, despite Taylor's weird hate thing for rich people and things like Batman letting the robber run away so the plot could happen, but that stupid reveal at the end makes the whole issue just look dumb. It adds nothing and makes the world feel smaller. Yet, somehow I'm not surprised that Taylor would do something like that.

a MacGuffin that can possibly make Batman better. Sounds like the Venom story from LOTDK. Great story where Batman punches a shark :P

Incredible Hulk was not terrible, which makes it Marvel’s best book of the month. Both Action Comics and Absolute Wonder Woman were fun reads this week from DC. But, Conan and Rook Exodus continue to battle for first place this year, with the Cimmerian winning by a hack or slash. Standstill and Void Rivals were solid.

I didn't hate Absolute Wonder Woman. I'll give number two a shot.

Godzilla Monsterpiece Theater was one of the most unusual and the entertaining comics l have read in a LONG time. Granted, it is only a three issue series, but you need to give this gem a little attention and show that IDW can get it right once in a blue moon!

I loved it man. Loved Absolute Batman too and I had zero interest in both series. I only picked them up because I was bored and didn’t have much else to read.

I thought you would talk about Nightwing. It was a fun start by Dan Watters. Although I hope he kills off the fake sister or she moves out of Bludhaven and we never hear from her again.

With Absolute WW, it was an introduction. Nowadays, everything has to have an explosive start, but not here. This could be a build to something and more to be revealed. Hopefully, it's good.
