1940 tokyo olympic was canceled due to world war 2, and 2020 tokyo olympic was postponed due to war against virus.

If they are really worried about covid, they should just withdraw. Tokyo has already done alot to ensure that social distancing protocols are in place

I'm sorry but hearing about athletes complaining about the enormous sacrifices and hardships over the postponement of the Olympics falls on deaf ears. The pandemic affected everyone, people lost jobs, lost businesses, lost their homes and millions lost their lives. In light of these tragic events having the Olympics postponed for a year is a very very small price to pay.

As a Japanese live in Tokyo, I strongly say it is glad to hold Olympic Games. Tokyo already gave the chance to get vaccinated over 65 years old ppl. Thanks to vaccine, now only 10-20 ppl die in Japan by covid everyday while 3,000 ppl die for other reasons.

Smart Japanese already know we can hold Olympic. But media agitate ppl who are not smart enough to understand above facts in order to sell their poor newspapers and make them watch cheap TV show. Japan is the country of old ppl, and old ppl cannot get information in English and use internet. Fake media is only one source they have.

Anyway, I really appreciate and respect all of ppl and players who making efforts for this Olympic. Don’t need to hear fool voices from Japanese media and agitated snowflakes.
