I thought traditional sources say Ali was killed by Kharjites at morning prayer and Muawiyah took control after his death. This video makes it seem like Ali during a conflict with Muawiyah. The time after Uthman’s death was fractured and even Ali and Aisha fought a battle over leadership of the Ummah.

Throughout history, humanity has been enslaved by kings, queens, age-old customs, ways of forefathers, graves, superstitions, idols, money, or desires. Islam released them from this slavery and brought them in the worship of Allah.

Kings had a major role in enslaving humanity. When people grew dissatisfied, they invented a veiled monarchy called democracy. The rich retained control from behind the scenes.

Today, rulers enslave people through economic, educational, or military means. Interest, usury, insurance, indirect taxes, and GST is a form of economic slavery. Or it's a pre-planned invasion to capture resources. Or they design a school syllabus that changes the thinking of an entire country.

Tauheed is more than a testimony of faith. ‘There is no God but Allah’ is a sum of no and yes. Without saying no to everything besides Allah, you cannot reach Allah.

Tauheed is to worship Allah only and seek help from Him only; see the first page of the Quran.

Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] said, ‘When you ask, ask Allah, and when you seek help, seek Allah’s help…[hadith continues]’— part of hadith taken from Tirmidhi 2516.

Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] said, ‘Let one of you ask his Lord for his every need, until he asks Him for salt, and asks Him for the strap of his sandal when it breaks’— Tirmidhi 3604

Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) says in the book, ‘Beg of Him and do not beg of anyone besides Him. Ask Him for help and do not seek help from anyone besides Him. Trust in Him and do not trust in anyone besides Him.' - discourse 47, Al Fathah Ar Rabbani, page 281.

To understand Tauheed, you must also know what shirk is.

Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah have mercy on him) says in his book, 'shirk can be outer or inner. Outer is the worship of idols, while the inner is to trust creatures and regard them as the source of harm and benefit.' - Al-Fath Ar-Rabbani, discourse 34, page 212

Shirk is over-reliance on material possessions, money, or power. See Sura Kahf verses 32 and 42.

Shirk is to obey desires over Allah. Quran surah 45 verse 23.
.
Shirk is to change the place of Allah. You love or fear anyone like Allah. This is what the Christians do and what some Muslims do.

Shirk is to follow man-made laws and disregard the rule of Allah. Look at how people are suffering from democracy, socialism and capitalism. All are man-made rules.

Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani [ra] says in his book, 'Everything apart from Allåh is an idol.' (Book, Al Fathah Ar Rabbani, page 438).

I say, fasting breaks the idol of desires, zakat smashes the idol of money and salat breaks every idol and brings you in front of Allah.

Shirk dooms a person to hell forever, not just non-Muslims but even Muslims. See verse 48 at Surah An-Nisa.

Muslims are fooling themselves if they think that they can enter Heaven just by saying the kalimah [testimony of faith].

Correct your tauheed and correct others.

All of this is wrong. In Pakistan we follow our mullahs and muftis and buy duas from Shah Saab. Muhammad took care of Abu Bakr so we should similarly give our in-laws gold like Laxmi.
