The debacle in the Suez canal and the cover-up that followed should have warned those thinking of heading to the Red for recreation...1200 dollars/£/€ will get you a decent B&B with a full English for 7 nights
Ответитьthese boats look like the super yachts built in Rotterdam from aluminium but these are plywood nailed together with car body filler and fibreglass to smooth them out, gel coats are sometimes applied, they are the Lada of the boating world, trust your life on one if want but not other peoples lives, your wife and children don't deserve that,
ОтветитьSo sad,
ОтветитьI have always had a phobia of sailing in passenger and smaller ships based on ship disaster reports of the ones that capsized with many people trapped below decks in cabins or fires, especially at night. As far as adhering to international safety codes, I lived in this part of the world for three years and rarely saw compliance with or use of best practices you would like to see. I think I would have passed on this dive opportunity if I had known where the ship was built and who built and operated it. Also, victim families will get little or no legal recourse based on local law processes and customs.
ОтветитьWhat happened to the Zodiac that floated off as it sank? What was missing from the life rafts?
Why did it leave port with weather warning in place for the next 2 days? boat was late.
Wait until you hear the full story of this rolling $hit$how. 😡❤️🙏
I had this much electronics on my 1970 Skagit steelhead boat that was 17 feet! (except for the plug and play GPS). Oh, WAIT.;.....I actually had a REAL depth sounder with printout (Made in the UK) I had sourced at a swap meet. Sonar, kid you not. Plus REAL red double redundancy marine switches. I outdid this "boat"!!
ОтветитьSuch a huge tragedy. Shark infested water and unsafe conditions. May God have mercy on these people. I can’t imagine the grief.
ОтветитьIn this case it's was more important to be cool than to use common sense. Well I'm not surprised.
ОтветитьDidn’t the survivors tell them what happened
ОтветитьThe red sea in my opinion is the most dangerous place to go diving, not because of currents or what is under the surface, but the lack of safety, badly trained staff, and unkept and unseaworthy boats. Its happened so many times in the red sea
ОтветитьI worked on Neckton dive cruise vessel 20 years ago as 1st mate . And the truth be told is was the most un sea worthy vessel I’ve ever been on. Went through hurricane Katrina off the Caysal banks off the coast of Cuba . Asked the Captain if we should tell the passengers a up date on the situation, he said No. He went back to his bed and told me your in charge. I jumped ship as soon as we returned to Fort Lauderdale.
ОтветитьI feel stupid but, I didn't think they got foul weather there.
Is it normal weather?
I do not dive a as bit of sailing but this looks insane. Sad people get on these boats unknowingly.
ОтветитьThe red ssa is a risky place to be in consideration to Jordan and Israel and hamas fighting and trouble in the middle east, how can people still go have leasure times in the same place where they sink ships and boats
ОтветитьAnother floating shed with a gazebo stuck on the top ... 😡
ОтветитьWow, this is really sad and awful. I can imagine the chaos at the site. I don't understand how a tourist vessel was allowed to go out there without proper survivor kits, despite weather warnings? This could have been avoided either way.
ОтветитьInsurance job
Ответить😢😢😢
ОтветитьHow sad . 😢
ОтветитьWell it’s the Middle East, safety is non existent and life is cheap.
Ответить😂😂😂
ОтветитьDon't know what your on about the equipment , very few commercial diveboats carry modern equipment
ОтветитьI’m no mariner but to me, the boat looks Topheavy. And once she goes on her side, a full capsize seems likely.
And really, the thing should have remained in port.
Another straight ahead video, thank you
do you people not have your own common sense? DONT GO OUT IN ANY STORMs. NO boats are not made for bad weather.
ОтветитьI am not an expert but I will never sail on any ship or boat which is very tall. A very on fashion look ,surely for profit. And never drive a car which is too tall and not wide. ❤
ОтветитьIsn’t naming a boat Hurricane the same as naming it Titanic?
ОтветитьJust looking at it, it seems very top heavy. I wonder if they ever ran stability on this vessel. 2-4M seas would not normally capsize a vessel of this size.
ОтветитьThe captain and the owner are at fault the victims family members should sue and relieve the entire fortune of the owner.
As for the captain and owner they should be formally charged with murder.
They knew the weather warnings but decided to go anyway.
Negligent homicide.
If Moses had only been there.
ОтветитьWhat did you expect from Egypt
Ответитьso what?
ОтветитьGet lost ....total BS
All pictures provided are not from that boat.
You are talking shit it's only your opion,no evidence at all for your allegations just bla bla
ОтветитьTo me that Red sea is holy. Why in the world would you want to go and mess around in it.
ОтветитьMy coworker was supposed to be on this companies other boat for Christmas, and has just cancelled it. It’s the third dive boat to sink in Egypt in the last month
ОтветитьI was in Egypt a few years ago and the relatively new vehicle we used had a carburetor (no EFI), no airbags, manual transmission, no “modern” safety features, very basic. It doesn’t surprise me that other transportation also isn’t up to modern “western” standards.
ОтветитьThat thing looks top heavy. Not a ship you would take into rough seas
ОтветитьI’m so sorry for these deaths. What a tragedy for families right before the holidays. It was likely a trip of a lifetime for them.
Ответитьthat not the antenna that the chart plotter only 8x3 inch
ОтветитьBut it looked so seaworthy. Junk
ОтветитьHi,
My friend and her fiance are still missing (both brits) due to the lack of info from Egyptian officials, we are doing our own investigations.
I'm looking for anyone who saw the sea story boat sink in Marsa Alam OR saw any part of the rescue
Would also be interested in contacting anyone who has previously been on the vessel please 🙏
Thank you. Vessel was put together with bubble gun and rubber bands.
ОтветитьThey people who owns the unsafe so call yath they know that the captain can swim so all the other visitors from different countries can go to help feed the fish
ОтветитьPrayer's 😢
ОтветитьQuite sad indeed.
ОтветитьEven if they had certificates one has to wonder if inspectors were bribed to look the other way.
ОтветитьSounds like they have junk for a yacht! Looks like these divers should have some idea about the company and captain of these floating death traps before they put their lives in the hands of idiots!
ОтветитьWow I just was in Egypt 2 months ago and literally left to dive from the same area…..It was CRAZY windy with HIGH swells and rough seas….I was NOT FEELING safe…I’ve scuba dived in many countries….never ever has anyone said seas like that were even close to safe to dive in before. I refused…a few went but got in trouble rather quickly….. it was nuts….
Ответитьwhere is the captain ? DID CAPTAIN SAVE HIS LIFE FIRDT?
ОтветитьDid you say wood, lol
Ответить
