Getting all of that rain for three straight days should be the real-world test of all your hard work installing the drainage on the property.

You were holding the kayak paddle upside down when you were out with the dogs. Also please wear a PFD, especially when it’s still cold in the air and water. Hypothermia at this time of year will get you really fast and the PFD will provide both warmth and floatation if something happens like a dog getting spooked or something and flipping you. Otherwise though it looked like a fun paddle with the pups

You need a moisture meter to check that siding. One of the worst things you can do before painting is force water into the wood with a pressure washer. That paint is going to peel and bubble within 6 months. You have effectively raised the moisture content of the wood well beyond what any paint manufacturer would recommend for proper adhesion. You would be best to leave that siding for a year before painting. There is no fast and easy way to apply paint to old wood, it must be done dry.
