In my level, whenever I try to push the bishop away, they just take my knight, doubling up the pawns. How should I defend against that?
ОтветитьDo you think the jaenish gambit could work do defend against exchange variation?
ОтветитьWhat if h3 after d3?
ОтветитьThis is pretty cool if you assume the bishop doesn't take on c6. If that happens this strategy is kind of useless.
Ответитьwhat happens if instead of castling white plays h3???
ОтветитьI was about to ask a question about what happens if white goes castles and then d5 directly. No c3. But then... wow... Stockfish says it isn't good at first... but then it's eval miraculously changes in every line. I even tried some Fabi recommended lines, and there are narrow ways out. So, this defense is way more objectively sound than people realize, and at lower levels that doesn't even manner... this is just awesome. Thanks GM Smirnov!!!
Ответитьinstructions unclear my opponent traded the knight for the bishop instead
ОтветитьWhat if they take your knight on the 4th move…
ОтветитьThis is all well and good. The only problem is, at the 1k elo level, after their bishop attacks your knight, pawn to a6 doesn't kick the bishop back. They take the knight...always lol
ОтветитьMe, forgets the move order and accidentally plays the old steintz variation...
ОтветитьThis trap has worked several times for me. Recently, I used it to win the game which took me over 1000 elo. Very good video thank you.
Ответитьthank you so much.^^
Ответитьsos grande pibe
ОтветитьWhat if white takes your knight, ruining your queen side ?
ОтветитьHey am requesting to you to teach 🐦 bride opening for white
ОтветитьHell am Patrick can you teach me how to open with bride opening and also to defend it plz which can help me to play in my games to come
Ответитьyou didn't explain what happens if they just take the knight immediately.
ОтветитьAs a ruy lopez player who also plays the open sicilian with eighter colour, do not mind opposite sides casteling
ОтветитьFirst time I played after watching this, my opponent played pawn to C3, so I played pawn to F5, but then they played pawn to D3. I wasn't sure how to respond at first. If you have comments, that would be great. (I eventually won the game.)
ОтветитьIs the Steinitz defense better than the Schliemann-Gambit? What would you say is the best?
Ответитьafter pawn a6, Bxc6 , which one would be good move
ОтветитьIf they don't castle, this doesn't work....
ОтветитьWhat about 5. d3 what do we do then
ОтветитьThanks man
ОтветитьWhat if he bishop takes knight directly?
ОтветитьWhat will happen if the white bishop captures the knight?
ОтветитьI'd love to see GM Igor do one lesson in Russian, even though I wouldn't catch much.
Ответитьbro just taken my knight when i put pawn to d6
Ответить👌
ОтветитьDoes not make sense if he takes the night he wins a pon
Ответитьwhat if white plays Bg5 instead of Nd2???
Ответитьwhat if white plays Bg5 instead of Nd7???
ОтветитьThanks GM Igor for sharing your knowledge!
ОтветитьThis all depends on white castling early on the king side.
ОтветитьCould you comment on the exchange variation of the Ruy Lopez. In playing Black, I'm facing a lot of White players exchanging Bishop for Knight and have not well. Trying to understand how to take advantage of the exchange variation.
Ответить@ 3 min 57, black castles Queen side then there's nothing stopping white Bg5. Then what? Rook is pinned as the Queen evades the threat. Th e following exchange - Bxf3, Bxf6 or Qxg5 etc doesn't really work out for black as an alternative. Help!
ОтветитьThis was great! Exactly what I needed
ОтветитьThomas David Thomas Susan Taylor Sandra
ОтветитьI lost to this twice, then i reviewed the game and ive not completely lost out of the opening since
ОтветитьWhat if white plays 6. Nc3 instead of a3?
ОтветитьMy dear Igor what if white play immediately p-d4after my move p-h4 to protect my bishop??? What is the best response???
ОтветитьIndian defense?
ОтветитьDidn't address the most common variation Bishop takes Knight on C3! Disappointing, little bit like hope chess this video.
