Awesome bike! I have a 2017 Kawasaki z650, it’s my first bike and I have had it for 2 years now. I feel like I’m ready for a new bike but I just can’t find anything that I’m really interested in. I enjoy the naked bikes and I don’t want a speed bike. This bike is realistically what I would want to get next, the only problem is the $$$. Either way, awesome video and very informative👍
ОтветитьDid you have any other bikes you were debating between prior to purchasing the MV Augusta?
ОтветитьGood review, I did about 100 miles on mine so far. (1st ride) took almost 4 months to finally get it. It's a blast, definitely different coming off a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R. Looking forward to more of the experience. 😉🤘🏾
ОтветитьYeah, gotta keep it on the tender, bro.
ОтветитьGreat review! I have the same 2022 model bike (just a different color and without the SCS) and, although I only have around 900 miles (1500km) on it, I pretty much agree with all the points you made. The torque is indeed a bit low, and the engine only really "explodes" on the higher revs, so it's not exactly a bike made for the city!
I also just installed the same Fresco exhaust (I live in Italy, so I don't really have your same issues with spare parts availability, and I received it after only 2 days!) and the sound is so much better now!
The only little gripe I have with the bike is that, when I start accelerating and slowly releasing the clutch, I can hear and feel a pretty annoying vibration (for the lack of a better word) coming from the left side. At first I thought it was the chain hitting on the cat, but I keep hearing the same noise even after installing the Fresco exhaust, which has a much smaller cat and so there's no way for the chain to actually hit it. Did you ever notice anything similar on your Brutale?
How is reliability? what all have you had to do in services?
ОтветитьWhat spot did you start this video at? Love the view. I live in Northern VA
ОтветитьMy Battery also just wasted, lasted only for 15 mos with at least a month of full charging. need for replacement. Nice review and really agrees!
ОтветитьThe sound is absolutely wicked on these bikes. I love my small block Chevy sound of my Moto Guzzi, but there’s no denying I love these Agusta exhaust music notes equally as much! I rode around for a while on an fz-07 with mods and that was wicked (full race headers and exhaust, new ecu and dyno tuned, etc) would easily lift in 3rd gear…I can’t even imagine this animal you’re on now with the Agusta. Nothing short of incredible! Does this bike tolerate taking it easy and gentle daily commuting type of riding, or does it require you constantly rip it and ride it hard?
ОтветитьBattery/Charging problem in an MV? That's a feature since the Brutale 910 series-Lol
ОтветитьGood review, I got the Dragster SCS last year n love it. The Battery issue is well known, the stock is crap but part of the issue is the bike has a gps modem that regularly connects, pulling the plug to the right of the starter SOV (behind small panel, bikes right side), if leaving the bike for a couple weeks sorts it. I also got the Fresco triple but in titanium blue n chopped off the small baffles, but I have not touched the servo, my dealer in Manila advised against it saying it will slightly reduces the low down throttle response and torque. Its not only for Euro 5 noise compliance and is supposed to regulate the header back pressure to tune the exhaust for optimum performance.... apparently. The replacement ECU which comes with the SC Projects slip on is because that exhaust removes the standard cat. The combo pushes the bike to 150bhp allegedly, i had one on order when I ordered the bike but due to global... ahem... chip shortages it never arrived. So at the first 1K service I went for the Fresco, no regrets, its gorgeous. I am about to get a new fancy seat cover from Luimoto Canada and with it a gold gel pad, this greatly enhances comfort (they say), I am 6 ft and 176 lbs n yes numb ass after around 100 klicks. Your comment on the front end could be stiffer was interesting.... After much setting experiments and riding, I found I had to reduce preload slightly, rear ended up back on the delivery setting. The dealer had asked me my body weight before I took delivery.
Enjoy that MV fella, its my first one n absolutely it is the best I have ridden.
Ride safe.
What is the red paint you used on nuts/bolts
ОтветитьAwesome review! I have a honda cb650r as my first bike almost 3yrs now. Looking into upgrading… if my wife allows it. Haha. How often is maintenance and how much would a regular maintenance cost? Would you say its reliable enough to use as a daily? Trying to get as many good points as i can get for “the discussion.” Appreciate it.
ОтветитьYou mentioned your on the shorter side, I’m 5’7 is this bike something I could easily get on for my hight something that makes me nervous about getting a bigger bike is not being big enough to really control it. I’m on a 390 duke currently.
Ответитьwhat battery did you installed ?
ОтветитьWhat mirror block off plugs are you using?
ОтветитьSCS, are you sure?
ОтветитьI really like those mirrors. What are they and where did you get them?
ОтветитьThank you for the review. Just wondering whether you have ever got any problems so far. I have heard many rumors that after 10000 miles, a lot of problems would come out, especially for MV agusta. Could you share any tips on how you do the maintenance? How often do you take your Brutale to the dealer shop for the maintenance? I have a 2021 Dragster 800 Rosso and a RR SCS. Both of them are low mileage: below 500 miles. Once again, I really appreciated this video.
Ответить15,000 miles on my 2015 Dragster RR and a Saddle-Sore 1000 certificate I am also on my 3rd starter sprag...
ОтветитьStreet triple rs are more easy too drive✊🔥🔥but brutale are faster and more raw🔥and more fun✊🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьScs i hate but love the Bike✊🔥🔥
Ответитьis it true that the SCS needs to be replaced every 8000miles?
ОтветитьGreat review! How is the heat distribution while sitting in traffic? Up high near your crotch or down low by your leg? I live in a place w a lot of traffic and this is a big concern.
Ответитьfinally rode mine (exactly the same as yours minus accessories..) after a long winter - well it s still just 2 degrees :D agrh... amaziinng :D !!!
ОтветитьThe fz7 sold in large numbers so there is more aftermarket than a niche bike. The price of owning a unique bike.
ОтветитьDream big bike😍
ОтветитьIs it true that there is no gas gauge but only a fuel low sensor on the Brutale?
ОтветитьWhat type of mirrors do you have on the bike?
ОтветитьSo all in all you would say it’s a pretty reliable bike and cost of maintenance is low or would you say do it yourself is much easier and less money? Only issue is really the battery and of course you say the clutch is slipping but that’s all in due time. Any big service you have to do to this bike like a Ducati for example every 15k miles you have to do a desmo? If there is how much is it usually? Thinking about buying one soon
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me why MV didn't offer an SCS model for this year's (2024) lineup for the Brutale??
ОтветитьRegarding the gear ratio have you thought of going down from 16 to 15 on the front or going up 3 or so on the rear?
ОтветитьHey Mike do you have a link for the license plate holder? I have a 2019 Dragster 800rr and like that location for my plate. thank you.
ОтветитьW video man, I wanted to ask about the aftermarket exhaust, I want to buy a 2022-24 800 because I can drive it at 18 on my country but I can't find on any webpages. Did you got it from the dealership itself or from a web? Thanks
ОтветитьThe are not the original wheels right?
Ответить
