Somehow, this story reminded me of an excerpt from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" where some simple Earthling made a simple comment that was picked up by a micro wormhole or something which just happened to form right as the statement was being made and just happened to be transmit it to a race where that comment is the worse thing you can say to them, so bad in fact they mobilized their entire massive war fleet and jumped directly to Earth to annihilate it, and were swallowed by a small dog...well...anyway...don't panic...

Better than most but they used the massively over used line "show them what humans can do". Unfortunately that is an automatic dislike.

If you can make a god bleed, then the people will cease to believe in him (her). Same as an invincible enemy. Once you fight back, bleed them, win battles you weren’t supposed to, they are no longer an invincible enemy and others will fight back too.

There are a few chapters missing near the beginning where humans actually struggle.
All that happens is they sucker punch the invader and keep going. There is no struggle for them to get to the 'fighting for survival' phase.
