Two amazing pilots!!!
ОтветитьWow!!! Then the folks have to fly out again? I’d require some heavy duty tranq!
ОтветитьThe crew performed excellent under pressure. Would hope they’d be on my plane in similar circumstances Hindsight always so damn perfectionistic. They made it. Kudos!
ОтветитьThe airbus a330 is dying in the alantic similar to the titanic also sailing across the alantic that hit a iceberg
ОтветитьIdk if their backup battery
Ответитьhow can you run out off fuel 😢
ОтветитьWhile i commend the pilots for being able to glide the aircraft that far and land saving all the lives onboard i still think they bear some of the blame. When they started transferring fuel from the left wing to the right and it didn't get any better and they continued to pump more and more fuel from the left to right without the problem being corrected you would think that common sense would tell you to close the cross valve.
ОтветитьBoeing blaming the pilots is pretty shitty... But Boeing gonna do what Boeing do
ОтветитьCaptain the system shows we lost the right wing.
"Bet you it's a computer error"
Top job cap and crew ....thanks god 🤞
Ответитьhigh pressure in the oil comes from the leaking fuel which evaporates, and vapor pressure is high thus high pressure and when evaporating it takes heat from the surrounding (oil in this case) and hence lowering the oil temperature. the pilots need mechanical engineer accompanying them and expert in thermodynamics, fluids and dynamics...etc. God may help all pilots for carrying out calculations while flying those giant jets that seem to be vulnerable in many circumstances, God forbid, such that a minor fault can "expand" into a deadly situation if neglected and not diagnosed immediately.
ОтветитьThank God that 17 tons of fuel didn't get lit by a spark in the wing - doubt that wing would have survived the inferno
ОтветитьThe first officer did a great job with communication and calculations he was sacred but staying calm. Good job for both of them
Ответитьthat's what I mean about money over maintenance plane safety
they will crucify us
So, these things happen all the time in all kinds of machinery. Sometimes when disassembling whatever it is you're working on, a hydraulic line, fuel line, air line, whatever gets tweaked a bit and it isn't noticed until reassembly. Mechanics with experience and attention to detail look for lines (and wires) rubbing on anything and tweak them back, paying close attention if they were weakened or not.
Ответитьthis bring tears to my eyes in the end wow god is good ❤
ОтветитьI am glad I am not the second pilot because I would have been “stop saying is the computer we have no fuel come to your senses”
ОтветитьI’m so confused why so many people in this comment section are saying these pilots are heroes. Of course they did an incredible job landing the plane after it ran out of fuel. But they were severely negligent by never turning off the fuel cross feed after they started it despite the very clear indications that this was a fuel leak.
Ответитьits the Azores not the AYYzoors
ОтветитьTheres no debate about it they should of flown to nearset airport long before any engine went off , crazy thinking it was computer fault .The transfer was impulse not intelligently worked out , it had to be a leak in the right engine , they could of made it on one engine . Why did they not switch the valve off fuel coming from the left it would then of shown fuel was still in left wing . IQ of pilots is in question here .
ОтветитьIt only needs 3mm to ignore the airplane enjin to cause air disaster.
ОтветитьCrew did their best. Y investigator helped by audio recording
ОтветитьHorrible attitude of AirBus to blame the pilots. In retrospect, obviously the pilots should not have opened the cross feed switch. However, they were working with the best of their judgement and using the available checklists and resources. There are times computers give confusing if not entirely erroneous messages and some level of skepticism of unexpected computer readings is not a bad thing. Yes, had the pilots been given better training, they might have handed it better. Yet, I don't think we should be blaming them. Ultimately, they landed safely. It is good the pilots continue to fly as I am sure they have done a good job and they will learn and do better next time. I can't understand why such a crucial accident investigation would be kept in secret. No matter what happened, it would be best to make the investigation report public, not to blame anyone, but to see what we can all learn from it. Horrible attitude of the investigating agencies to maintain secrecy about this. Who are they trying to protect?
ОтветитьA more fitting song in this flight situation would be: My Deliverer by Rich Mullins, and another Rich Mullins song would also be: Awesome God.
ОтветитьAs an engineer, these are my thoughts:
The computer system should be extremely reliable and trusted by the pilots with faulty readings and errors being extremely rare.
If the computer system showed the fuel level dropping more quickly in the right wing, why open the cross feed?
There were three possibilities:
1. A leak from the right tank
2. The right engine using fuel faster than the left engine
3. A faulty computer reading
In none of the above options would it have made sense to open the cross feed.
How they lowering down the wheels without power and no hidraulic??
Ответитьso there was at least three parties to blame.
regulations, maintenance, pilot distrust in the computer.
there should also have been a better fuel measurement system available.
Ι cant imagine how these giant metal birds can fly up in the air .....its scary ........
ОтветитьThey’re too smart for their own good. I think most people would stop bleeding fuel once it didn’t resolve the issue quickly. Assuming a computer glitch seems unreasonable. Especially when it’s your life and the lives of others on the line
ОтветитьThose pilots were freaking amazing,
ОтветитьNo way am I going to war for Kier Starmer. No way
Ответитьincredible! most impressive of all is the endurance and courage of the captain, his assistant and the stewardess. It seemed that the inevitable death was obvious and yet, despite this, the crew showed courage, did not give in to panic but fought for the lives of the passengers. This is amazing!
ОтветитьHelp, that one female actor playing one of the passengers is driving me crazy! Like her constantly freaking out for no reason and also yelling for a flight attendant even though the dialogue says people were praying…😭
Honestly glad it’s just acting, because I think in a real situation, that would be the WORST person to have to deal with.
A small mistake? Are you kidding me?
ОтветитьI'm not gonna comepletely dry on this F*****g airplane.
He's one polit who knows how to handle everything.
Boeing can learn from pilots like this.
Instead of sueing or complaining about how their plane is used,
they should be changing the instruction-manuals to make sure this will never happen again.
Pouinting fingers will only make sure the pilots will be starting to sue the company itself or stop using their planes.
Why would you the pilot think it’s a faulty glitch ? Land the thing then find out.
ОтветитьNow THIS is reality TV
Ответитьwhy couldn't they use the apc thing make power
ОтветитьThe actor playing the captain must have been speaking so quietly. The sound of him breathing was sooo distracting…!
Ответить"There is less fuel on the right side. Let's let the fuel from the left side leak out too!"
Folks, there is a reason that there are separate fuels tanks.....
Rather than discussing the situation, why not CLOSE the *^*^ valve that is letting all of the left-side fuel leak out on the right side?
If the fuel is disappearing faster than the engine can burn it, then YOUR PLANE HAS A LEAK!
Dirk de Jager was a good pilot👍👍👍
Ответитьnot good pilots. they should have turned off the fuel crossfeed much sooner....then they could have easially landed on one engine.
ОтветитьCurious as to why an experienced captain didn't shut down the right engine as a precaution as soon as an oil pressure problem arose.
ОтветитьCameras should be all around to plane for surveillance of all systems.
ОтветитьI once glided a 747 2 min after taking off, did a 180 and landed safely on a packed beach, plane and I assume crew all survived, minimal damage, i was playing GTA5 At the time of this epic landing, my first 4 try's were absolutely horrific for anyone else, especially after bailing out with the only parachute onboard i guess.... Never did see any other shutes, poor NPC'S
Ответитьno fuel - no engines
no engines - no power
no power - no speed
no speed - stall
stall - crash
crash - ded or alive
