Not surprisingly, this ferry crosses the Strangford Lough and this shows the entire thing, so however long this video is is how long it took one particular crossing. The ferry operates at the narrowest point of Strangford Lough aptly named "the Narrows" which is a bit inland from the mouth of the lough. In N. A one way ticket for normal car is £5.80, motorcycles are £3.50 and larger vehicles more. Taking the ferry to Portaferry puts one on the Ard Peninsula and because of the ferry crossing required to get to the mainland, housing prices in Portaferry are lower than in Strangford according to our guide.
