I’ve watched a lot of videos in trying to get an understanding of what histamine intolerance is all about. They were vague. Thank you so much for this video. Now I understand and can do something about this issue.

What introduced me to histamine is that the last several years if I get a chill I get very sick, while I was washing dishes Tammy Peterson, Jordan's wife came on my feed and apparently she has issues too as do Jordan and their daughter, but hers wasn't resolved till she figured out histamine was the root. It explained my drippy nose, rash's that never go away, etc.

when Dr B says there's no test, what about a DAO blood test? is it indicative / helpful in diagnosing?

Other ones are olives, pineapple, all citrus, kiwi fruit, mushrooms, coconut, many spices, etc. For some with HI, it's caused by hypermobility (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome specifically) coming along with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Definitely worth looking into. POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) happens that vast vast majority of the time with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome / significant hypermobility/that specific type

Hi! During the tail end of having the flu, i woke up with hives all over. This was 6 months ago. Ever since then every day i break out in hives. I take allegra. My body is going crazy over producing histamine. I feel fine otherwise. Do you have any information on this?

I started having allergies after I immigrated to the US. Before that, in Europe, no issues beside an allergy to nickel. Now, I'm allergic to a lot of different things. I get hives on my hands and, newly, eczema, psoriasis like rash, and dermatographic urticaria. That makes me wonder if that has something to do with the food I eat (I cook everything and have limited processed foods). I also have been diagnosed with erosive OA, inflammatory uncommon subtype of OA. It is triggered by stress in my case. Last week I had a relapse. I thought I'd try to take antihistamine. My pain instantly went from a 6 to 1 and even 0 sometimes.

I take an antihistamine daily and have for years. I have always had hay fever but one year I was working outdoors, sweating and got a few mosquito bites. I started to itch all over basically and ended up having to take benedryl to stop it. Ever since I have had to use an antihistamine daily to control it cause it never went away. I think at this point without the pill my histamine goes into overdrive so will have to take a daily pill for life.

Would I be correctly self diagnosing if, when eating at a restaurant, my nose begins to actually pour, sometimes sneezing, I need to leave the restaurant because of embarrassment. I’ve had digestive issues for years, but no known allergens either environmental, or medical.

Morning lads, last March I started having tummy pains, rashes, itching, and a red face in the evenings. I kept a diary of all food, and narrowed the intolerance to tomatoes ( inc ketchup ) vinegar, sour dough bread, baked beans, wallnuts, yoghurt, beer, chockie and onions ...
I avoided the above for three months, and i did feel better, however i became complacent and I'm back to square one, doing the diary, and avoiding those foods again. Im feeling like im never going to be able to enjoy my spicy foods, chocolate etc again 😢

For the last 10 weeks I’ve been experiencing issues of my throat tightening up and really foreign sensations in my hands such as tingling, lightness, butterflies, racing sensation, cold feeling, light numbness etc.

I’ve been to A&E and have done blood tests and MRI on my brain and spine and everything is okay. The doctors are unsure what is wrong with me. My mother theories it could be a histamine intolerance however these problems that I encounter don’t seem to match any of typical histamine intolerance symptoms.

I have recently found triggers e.g the worst attack i experienced where my throat tightened up, hands and feet tingling, difficulty breathing through my nose, feeling very spaced out/disconnected happend the day after eating a lot of pepperoni pizza. Which when I had my first attack/flare up was eating a pepperoni pizza.

Has anyone with histamine intolerance ever experienced symptoms like mine?? I would really appreciate any response it has been a very difficult and scary time for me the last 10 weeks.

The rise is NOT surprising - it's directly due to current fish harvesting practices. As recently as 20 years ago, fishing boats went out, fished, came back within 12 to 16 hours, and the fish was FRESH. Today, fishing boats have been replaced by "trawlers" that go out to sea for 4 or 5 days at a time, and most fish is 3, 4, or even 5 days old. Dangerously close to being inedibly spoiled, and certainly never fresh.

My partner has histamine intolerance and is basically stuck on a low histamine diet, which is very limiting. Whilst the condition is described, most of which we already know and sprouted legumes are suggested as help, improving gut barrier is referenced but a suggestion of haw to achieve this would be helpful.

Plenty of research that indicates you can't he's your leaky gut without reducing histamine as it destroys the mucissl lining. I've been trying to heal mine for years and then I got symptoms outside of my gut - flushing, palpitations, arrhythmia which led me to test for DAO SNPs to check if my ability to degrade histamine was compromised. Bingo! Now hopefully my next stool test will finally show some akkermansia indicating that my mucosal lining is finally healed. As others have mentioned, it's a catch 22 and you have to degrade the histamine with support before improvements are observed.

I'm allergic to antihistamines as well as my own tears.
When I cry I look like a bug lol. My eyes swell sooo much
If I take antihistamines, which includes so many products, like gravol or visine, I end up puking non stop and breaking out in hives and throat closure.
Its intense.
I'm also allergic to the entire world, grasses, trees, not animals-thank God.
I also do not tolerate steroids.
I cannot eat fermented foods at all. They upset my stomach and create hives and rashes

Wait a minute... I was told that beans and lentils are a no-no because of their high histamine levels.
I've also been doing a low histamine diet for months now, and I still get rashes and runny nose, the symptoms are not so bad, but they just don't go away.
