Professor, I'm now receiving these pathetic 46 cents a mile airport trips, which is 50 miles away. I'm so discouraged pissed off with these tight fcks.

When they are forced to increase in one location, they just shave a bit more everywhere else.

If I made $1.28 per mile all of my airport trips would be $30 plus. Honestly I would be pretty happy because it would almost double my income each week. Thanks for the post. I agree with others that to pay MN., they are probably shaving from other states.

Uber did not increase the rate, Minnesota forced Uber and Lyft to increase the rate. Now we all in other state are suffering getting lower rate so uber can make their loss from Minnesota.

It should've been more. Minnesota wanted minimum wage, but the Mayor Fry did veto it. This pay is still very, very low.

I would like to send you some information on how the DCWP in NY and the minimum wage law set by them favoured the apps, while drivers are destroying their vehicles. It seems to me that Uber is paying off the Democrats to do what they want.

In the UK now most drivers think it is a hobby to drive for uber, far less than minimum wage

If Uber and Lyft is paying you only pennies, your state law makers are the ones letting it happen.

I am in Minneapolis, people are going hours without rides. There is a 2 week topoff guarantee so you really have to be choosy about bonuses and surges working against you. The upfront fares haven’t changed, they just top you off and hope you take that $20 ride for a mile on saturday night to work against your “guarantee”. Although i’m never against a raise, our market isn’t big enough for the swath of drivers that have appeared 1 day after the raise happened

Drive a g80 genesis. Basically all Uber trips least Tuesday best ones you'll see in Orlando are 10 to 13 bucks for 30 35m of driving. Out of county it's worse. Once in a while I'll convert rides . Every rider gets my # only 2 ppl are often but they're small rides. With a 28 percent acceptance rating I only accept those few cuz all ride pay in Orlando is crap.

Uber doesn’t want improve drivers cost of living or living wages . They are forced to make these changes in Minnesota and made a calculation that they still make profit . They will increase rates across and reduce payouts to drivers in other states . Shuffling it around , they won’t share a piece of their pie with the drivers nationwide .

Don't thank the monster. Thank your city counselor and people who actually made it happen. That monster fought till the last minute to deny drivers.

How exactly do we fight against low pay?? Besides just quitting and letting them hire other people to screw over.

IRS says it’s 67 cents per mile to operate a car. That includes unpaid pickup miles and actual trip miles. Uber’s pay rate only applies to actual passenger trip miles, not unpaid pickup miles. So on average, you can cut it in half. Do the actual math, folks… Yeah, I went to public schools, but still…
