Sitting behind a desk can destroy your body just as fast as manual labor. Just do what makes you happy, deal with the rest as it comes.
ОтветитьI'm 65yo. 45 years of heavy labor, I'm going to work at Home Depot now, will use my knowledge to help DIY customers
ОтветитьOh my goodness. My google went off when you asked google about what a CRM is.. google is always listening….
ОтветитьDude. You need to take care of your body.
ОтветитьThanks for the video =)
ОтветитьLOL, when you said "Hey goggle what is a CRM", my phone when off telling me.
ОтветитьThere is an age some people hit and it's impossible for them to learn a new trade and I think it's because we all become set in our ways including me, I'm 45 and have been welding since I was 16 so now I do things certain ways that may not make sense to a lot but it's the easy way to me. Having said that I am open to suggestions one completing stuff quicker, smarter and safer and I am well aware I do not know everything, in fact some of the 20 something year olds I work with often show me stuff I did know so there's that and my $0.02 on it
ОтветитьNo matter what pants I try to purchase they are 100% of the time out of stock in my size. It doesn't matter if it's online or in Walmart. Apparently most people with 34" legs don't have a 32" waist.
ОтветитьI'll be 78 in Feb 2022. I still operate a handyman Service.
ОтветитьI've been a machinist since i was 19 years old I'm now 35 and eagerly want to be a contractor. Idk if I'm a little late on that?
Ответитьgoing to look at all these small jobs would take up a lot of time, do you bid over the phone?
ОтветитьI imagine you're too old when you've made enough to retire, and you don't want to do it anymore.
ОтветитьYou funny Handy. Thanks for the advice
ОтветитьEvery time I watch your videos, its like your beard is flexing on me
ОтветитьI've been in the trades my whole life and are now almost 60. Yes, I notice it gets a bit tougher at times so am trying to create another income that might carry me thru my golden years.
Our home is off a state hwy that leads to a local state park, but is also a part of a small community where grocery stores are few and most drive to the city for food.
We are going to build an aquaponic farm that will hopefully become a market garden for those nearby as well as passerbys. It might not make me rich but at least I'll always eat.
Wear good boots that fit . Lift weights . Walk or jog. Eat decent . Try to have a good attitude , and keep things neat . Maintain your truck and tools . Enjoy a hobbie or 5 also . Work hard , play harder .
ОтветитьIt’s funny you mention the Amish because I live in Colorado and my neighbor behind me just had the Amish build him a massive (bigger than his own house) garage / shop in the back and they were done in a day in a half and worked through the middle of a massive storm. About the time you put this video up.
ОтветитьSeems like people in repair industries tend to do the Least upkeep on their own bodies! Massage Therapy will repair your tendon issues, your back problem, those are muscular and soft tissue issues. If your grip strength is slipping, you need repair! You can afford it.. it's like insurance, think of yourself as your most important work vehicle! Just find a Good MT, sports massage is a good way to go for this. Why be feeling like junk? You can feel good again! Take care :)
ОтветитьI don't see any deformity in your biceps if you had a total rupture of those tendons you literally have to swing your whole body to turn your palms to the sky is actually very difficult. I see both your hands turning up quite easily. Sometimes people say they have torn & ruptured ligaments completely off the bone you need an mri. Complete ruptures of ligaments and tendons are serious injuries that will never heal
ОтветитьSupply and Demand applies to labor as well.
ОтветитьWhats the Patreon name?
ОтветитьYard work is such a waste of time when you have money making things to do.
ОтветитьYour wife should mow the lawn for exercise, unless she is a busy person too.
ОтветитьShit man I'm 31 and an electrician and I've seen a lot of these old timers in their 50's and 60's out do these young bloods in ther late teens and early 20's
Ответитьyou're never too old to be in a skilled trade, that's up to each individual
ОтветитьAll BS aside........30 year veteran of the skilled trades here......40 is too old to start.
Ответить62! I don’t wanna work now anyway
ОтветитьAs I recall your first video you were busting up concrete manually. I want to only work for seniors.
ОтветитьNever fear. I know office workers who have torn rotator cuffs, back backs, bad knees, bad hips, etc. and never do any kind of physical work. However, I think you are better off doing some physical work, although not killing yourself, like roofing/concrete/sheet rock/ framing, etc. Imo, some basic strength training will help avoid work related injuries.
Ответить30 yr old to old
ОтветитьYou're not too old until someone your own age or older says you're too old.
ОтветитьLink for the handy pants?? 😂I’ve been looking for something durable!
ОтветитьWhen they say "handy pants" they're teasing you man.
ОтветитьI worked in union building trades for 20 years. I left in 2009 when the economy crashed. There was zero respect for elders. It's not that I think they shouldn't have to do anything but there's easier stuff on the jobs they could be doing but nope they are ran into the ground. Now at 54 I work at a mfg an avg of 70 hours per week. Honestly I don't know how I do it. I wont be going back to building trades. I always thought I would have it made when I got in the union and found the working conditions were the worst i've ever had. Most of the workers are considered 'bodies' and treated as such. No thanks.
ОтветитьI'm 75. My health and energy are excellent. My wife and I are about to list our house. When it sells, we have plans to physically build a new one ourselves. After that, I will probably start a handyman business with my 60 years of construction experience. I was a vegetarian for 35 years and was always unwell. Now for the past 15 months I my wife and I eat the Carnivore diet. Our outlook on life has never been better with our excellent health. Many more productive years ahead!
ОтветитьGreat video , I'm a contractor for 33 years . Looking at handy man business and thanks for your insight and information. My biggest time waster is looking at jobs to give bids and not getting them . My sub contractor business was all referrals and I got 95 % of all my bids . Pricing before looking at takes so much more time and thats what your selling besides your skills . How to manage that will help be more efficent
Ответитьim 70 and i am a handyman, just remodeled a bathroom, well, still working on it. you can work as a handyman as long as you want to.
ОтветитьI switched from handyman to a pooper scooper business. I’m 52 years old. Scooping is super easy and great money if you develop good route density.
ОтветитьHi brother
ОтветитьWhere do good handymen go to die? They become inspectors.
ОтветитьIm 36 is that too old
Ответитьif you eat natural food and no meat you can walk around like you are 30 when you are 80
ОтветитьI'm 55 and crippled up from the military and 20 years house building and road construction. It's a rough life.
ОтветитьYour an old man
ОтветитьComments here have your answer:
59 to 61 is the limit.
1 guy at 71.
Start at 50, get your GC, hire some young backs, manage and sell.
im 42 and been in and out of the carpentry trade since 14. i just signed up for trades school to add to my knowledge base and to earn a higher hourly wage and work in a union and guess what? The company hired me on the spot and is paying for my new set of tools and giving me a company truck all while i get 2 days off a week to goto classes. the need is so huge for the trades you can get insane deals like mine. best of luck out there my brothers and sisters. stay safe out there
ОтветитьAge matters . Some trades so hard you must start young and the body grows into the shape it needs. You can lose your eyes in your 40ies and it’s takes your balance and depth perception. Dry wall , tying Rebar, climbing trees, many jobs you can learn young but try learning them after 20. I wouldn’t recommend a new hire after the age of 20 in the Ironworker. Not much call for old Ironworker and loggers. I’ve seen men with tears that got ran off because they couldn’t handle the pace and pain.
Ответитьi’ll be 55 in june and i’m one crutch away from a telethon ! 43 years of racing sleds and working like a farm animal has taken a toll. go figure now I have an endless amount of work and booked for the next 6 years but my body is telling me to find a desk fast moron! I thought about hiring people to do the work and just supervise but anyone with any ability is already on their own. i should just do electrical, we all know they don’t break a sweat hahaha.
ОтветитьI’m 44. I want to start trade school but I feel I may be too old for trade school. (I’m in fantastic shape )
