Thank you so much. For weeks I have tried to do that Thumb independence. You are the first person to give a slow and clear instruction in details. I think I understand it now. Just love it.
ОтветитьMuy buena leccion maestro, le suguiero si puede subir la leccion de after you've gonne, gracias 👍
ОтветитьThank you sir I saw Tommy Emanuel do the same lesson and practiced everything except the last few parts thank you so much for putting it in better detail it made it a whole lot easier for me ✊🙏
ОтветитьI have difficulty with the palm muted fingerpicking because for one, I tend to like to hold my hand out (like a classical guitar player), but also because when I have my palm down on the strings like that, I can't use the nail on my thumb to pluck (I have to use the very side of my thumb, which doesn't have the kind of attack that I want -- it's too soft and warm/mellow, and also rather awkward), unless I bend my knuckle inward, but I can't do that without muting the string directly above the one I'm plucking (and yes, I know that palm muted notes generally don't ring out very much, but they can still depending on how much you are muting it. There is a song I'm learning now for instance where there are clearly palm-muted notes that, although somewhat deadened, are allowed/intended to ring out for a certain period of time before being completely cut off (I'm really tuned in to such nuances). In other words, there is a whole spectrum in between just pure staccato'd notes and those that are made to ring out loud and clear with much sustain.
The other reason I have trouble with it is that I have really long fingers, so when I hold my palm up against the strings, I can't get the right angle of attack from my other fingers, which causes my nails (which are very soft and brittle) to slice and cut on the strings. I don't see how other people do it. I envy them.
Tq very much Sir for the great lesson!
ОтветитьTq very much for the Great lesson Sir, now I am 61, and today I spent a little time practising the lesson and to my astonishment , I am able to play, once again tq very much Sir !
ОтветитьAfter a long search this is the first excercise that I actually felt I progress with the thumb,
High five sir really gonna recommend
Nice lesson, you should get more views and subs!
ОтветитьHello your explain more better and patient than tommy Emmanuel
ОтветитьGreat video! I think you need to make a whole video on that "arpeggio while alternating thumb" exercise.
ОтветитьGreat tuto thanks..Merci mon ami!
ОтветитьNot to easy and not to difficult. You dont however mention hand technique ( placement) why not?
ОтветитьThis seems like a rip-off of tommy emmanuel's lesson on thumb independence
ОтветитьHe looks like a sweeter version of the Flamenco Guitarist Ben woods aint he
Ответитьamazing lesson! for the first time i can do it because of your lesson! im still cant do the arpeggio part. liked and subscribed
ОтветитьMy a string snapped like a week ago lol😬 my new strings arrive tomorrow
ОтветитьWhy do you alternate pressing the A string and the E string as you're doing the thumb movement?
ОтветитьThanks to your lesson I am now able to play all the parts. I have been playing the lead guitar with my own band when I was 16. So I have the basics needed to do the job. But since I am no longer able to play as a group , I am fascinated by this fingerstyle play. I am now 70. But I feel more comfortable holding the guitar the classical way but at a less angle. Is that alright?
Ответить..I will watch a little at a time, and get down the string order and hopefully get a thumb rhythm going,..and come back.
Ответитьoutstanding lesson!!!!
Ответитьgreat learning @76yrs shan
