I love Dean. I have a basset as well. I've actually had three bassets and a bloodhound. These dogs are awesome. I can't figure out why they aren't more popular. My only complaint is the shedding. They never win dog shows and I find that hard to believe. I could never live my life with out my Mildred.

My Basset, Leonard, loves deep snow. You can't even see him when he runs through it. All you can see is snow flying and the occasional tail sticking out. He sleeps on the sofa 20 hours a day just to be well-rested in case of emergency.
If a turtle or a sloth ever breaks in to my house, Leonard will take care of the problem. I sleep easier at night knowing Leonard is on guard and keeping me safe.
