You have all said your main issue with King is that he hasn't went in to any real detail with his claims and ambitions, which is fair. But on the other side, this current board have told us nothing for years. They have continously mismanaged us in every department since the summer of 2021.

Even with King's limited detail, I'd take his ambition and ideas every day of the week compared to the direction we are currently heading in. And I think most fans feel the same.

Every fan wants what's best for the club. What that looks like right now will be a different vision with just about everyone you ask. IMO, since Dave King left the club, it has been badly managed in terms of both manager and player recruitment and capital expenditure. I'm not saying DK coming back is the right answer (who knows what that right answer is) but given the fact the club is well underfunded, DK at least talks a good game. I would have no issue letting him walk the walk.

You only have to look back to 2015 to see how DK intends to operate if elected as Chairman. He's an old dog, and doesn't have any new tricks. It's also a fact that what DK says, and what he does are often very different things. Going back to 2015 and DK got his resolutions past in an EGM he said we needed 20m in investment, he was going to get a NOMAD so we didn't get unlisted, and he was saying the new manager would be a key appointment in a long term project. He was also talking about fan representation on the board. We got the investment via loans, we did get unlisted, DK had no intention to keep Rangers listed on AIM's exchange, and the new manager started well, but didn't last as a long term project. Fan representation on the board didn't happen either. There are only two ways DK can bring money into the club. He can sell new shares, or he can loan the club money. He won't sell shares and dilute his own holding, or issue rights to existing shareholders because that requires putting money in, so he'll have to loan the club money. I'm not sure how easy that is to do with how FFP is structured now. And if memory serves when DK was having the book thrown at him by the takeover panel, didn't it come out that the South African govt prevented him taking his money out of the country? It was all extremely messy. As Chairman DK will appoint a CEO and fill other positions quickly. But it'll be Stewart Robertson again, or someone just like him. And the other posts will be filled with who is available right now, rather than the best people. I feel DK is far too risky. He breaks too many rules, and Rangers pay for it. Look at all the court battles we lost to Sports Direct and others while DK was in charge. I can only see it being more of the same if he comes back. The present board are doing lots of things. A lot of criticism aimed at them is exaggerated. But their implementation of plans is very poor. If the current guys on the board can bring their implementation up to standard then I really believe this will be best for Rangers.

If you could get Dave King on the pod Stevie I think that would be brilliant.

The board failed to balance income investment with success on the park.
I do think the club has never been stronger as far as income sources go. Now needs to be reflected on pitch.

I commented on Rangers Review this morning that surely Stevie with his official Rangers Press Pass could get an interview with Dave King. Add to that his status on Rangers Review, a channel that boasts two Journos who write for a prestigious Glasgow Broadsheet, and it's hard to imagine Mr King declining such a request.

Sad how all the chat on this podcast is about Liam Kelly starting and not the one exciting prospect we do have in Hamza 🤦

Added seating for the majority of the 10,000 fans on the waiting list should have been a priority years ago. Shona deserves a seat on the Board as a convenor. Practical, no-nonsense and visionary. All the attributes that we require.

There's a very hight chance that had the board backed the manager properly in January, we would have won the league. That 45m in champions league revenue would've went a long way to expand the stadium.
Instead, they pleaded poverty and did the bare minimum and our lack of squad depth cost is once more.
That's on this board and their lack of motivation to push the club forward. It's unacceptable and untenable.

If I was an investor and on the board I am not sure I would want a chairman that was not an investor. CEO different matter get the best one such as the likes of Bevington. However the overseer I would want one of the investors. I would have no issue with DK coming in for two years to stabilise the club reinstall the correct infrastructure including the succession plan for next chairman.

We have 2 of the most important positions available at the same time. What an opportunity we have here. It is imperative we get the best Chairman and CEO available no matter the cost. No cheap options.

Before anything we need to get a championship winning team n the park with a functioning trading model. Then look at infrastructure projects like stadium expansion.

Why change the keeper when we need the team to build relationships on the park . We need to Play our strongest lineup . Do Celtic feel the need to change their keeper? I could name their 11 most games , unfortunately seems to work well for them

Give Clement a fair amount of time to deliver, he IS rebuilding and does have a plan. THAT’s what has been missing.
If you want to attract strong investors… build a strong foundation (or at least that you’re heading in the right direction)

I want to see a comfortable lead, as early as possible.
So he can start integrating the new boys into the squad… the real future begins now!

Couldn't disagree more Shona. The priority is spending money on players to bring success which brings more money. We've already spent millions on infrastructure like Edmondson house etc

Hopefully this reaches you guys, especially Kenny. Probably remember me from my comment on previous pod but just want to apologise for my strong comments previously. Was more out of frustration than anything else with regards to whats going on with the club just now. I could have made my point without going over the top with my comments. So apologies.

King wants back in good ! park left Bennett left if we have a wobble financially who is gonna step up and be a boss of this club ?. He put 20 mill in years ago and Murry wasted it he then put more again in the rescue package ,he brought in Gerrard then he left the club in good shape and they have made a pigs rear of it . He's a different type of business man than all them he gets things done that's why he has survived all those years in South Africa we need him back and Souness both to get some Credibility and stability .

Dave King is speaking very much in the way populist politicians do . A grain of truth among a torrent of faff .
