Trevor is SOFT and the Players on the team KNOW IT...he does not have what it takes to inspire belief in his teammates that he can rally the troops. Say what you want about him - but yeah Baker Mayfield is a FIGHTER.

Anyone who actually watches the Jaguars play regularly will tell you that Trevor Lawrence can be very emotional on the field but composed at the podium. The overanalysis has begun, but it's deserved. T-Law and the Jaguars brought this on themselves.

The team has given up on Trevor. There’s no excitement, urgency, or passion. The worst part is that TL does NOT command that offense, he’s merely a passenger going through the motions.

I've been hearing this argument lately that Lawrence doesn't have enough fire and passion and that's why he's struggling under the circumstances. While I sort of get the example of Baker and his personality and what he went through before coming to Tampa, all other recent examples of QBs that have had career resurgences after being written off by much of the public like Jared Goff, Geno Smith, and Sam Darnold don't strike me as guys with a strong personality. Obviously I don't follow them close enough to really know, but I fee like this is kind of a matter of mixing up correlation and causation here - you can lack the grit needed to overcome adversity and less than ideal situations, but those things can also damage someone's confidence that's needed to develop that grit.
