Your video was spot on and very helpful on those couple of poorly worded questions. Thank you. I have shared this video and a few others with friends and family. Thanks again.

Question ❓ I've applied for Medicare part A....must I wait for my Medicaid card and number prior to anything else?

❓ can I have a mailing address and a house address? Which do I use for this account? My driver's license has residence, not mailing address.

How do you deal with the "Are you covered under a group health plan through your own current employment?" if you are already retired with a plan that is provided by your employee as part of your retirement.

I applied for Medicare last year and will be at full retirement age this year. I am self employed and still working some. Semi retired. Are there many self employed questions and can that cause a problem?

Thanks much very informational/helpful. QQ: i have just turned 65 last week & being proactive looking into enrolling on both online same time. On the starting date question will enter 6/1/25 as effective date. I'd need benefits to start on both SS & Part B 6/1 as I'm still working through 5/31. Will the system take or apply on both as eff 6/1? Or, will it throw Medicare to start me 4/1 since applying online March? Just need to double check/clarify or any advise is appreciated. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

Hey great video,.and thank you so much for sharing this information,.but I do have a question?..I’m actually 51 years old and need to apply for SSI,..I’ve worked my whole life but recently have come to terms with health issues that limit my physical capabilities,.a video made like that would not only help me but a lot of other american citizens that truly need the help in these times and find themselves in the same situation just like me with very little insight or knowledge on how to even start the process, just a thought and thank you again for such a great step by step tutorial on how to apply or set up an account.

I'm planning to apply for both Social security and medicare next month. I turn 65 in July which is when I want both benefits to start. I did not see a place to choose a start date for medicare. Will they just assume it's the month I turn 65 which is July?. Also, I am covered under group health insurance through my employer. I plan to file a life changing event so it will stop June 30th and medicare can start July 1st. How does medicate know that I have stopped my group health insurance? Do they need to know? Should I leave a note in the comment section? Thanks for any info.

For those that haven’t been paying attention, the SSA has slowed down to a crawl processing applications. It is in protest of the new administration. They were really slow before, but now it is close to stopped. This is all with the support of lower management.

Is it OK to use your po box for mailings, and then use the street address for the residence address?

Once you submit your application in your example video, you see a "what to do next" section. I got that after helping my dad with his application and there are several documents. Can you go over this part? Is this necessary? My dad was married in korea and we'll most likely have to obtain a translated certified version of his marriage certificate if so. Please help us out, thanks!

Can enrollment for both take place at age 65 if still working for a company with 20+ employees and on a company provided group health insurance plan and you are retiring at age 67?

If I apply for Social Security and Medicare at the same will my Medicare premium be taken out of SS right from the start? In other words - if I apply for both in January will Medicare start in February as well as Social Security starting February?

By clicking you have medical coverage (under spouses' employment) and you add all of that info in about spouse employment start, employment hasn't ended, health coverage hasnt ended, it doesn't start charging you Part B correct? It is just that in the end and shows money out for part b?

The authentication app really messed up the process...I could not get any of them to download on my Amazon Fire.

I now have an account but can't get in to complete the process.

@MedicareMindset thanks for another great video! I understand that someone who has already enrolled in Medicare Part A, will need to answer Yes to "Have you previously applied for Medicare, Social Security or (SSI) benefits. My first question is... after answering Yes, are there any additional questions to answer?
2nd question: If single now but divorced ,the person needs to select Yes to "Did you have any prior marriages" Will they then need to answer similar questions to the ones that a person who selects currently married does?
Last question/sanity check - for children it looks like stepchildren qualify , correct? Thank you!!
