That paint job is outstanding. :)
ОтветитьAny tips on dilution for edge highlighting. I'm using a wet pallete but really struggling to get the right ratio of water to paint to ensure it flows off the brush well without being watery and flooding the mini
ОтветитьWhat size brush are you using for highlighting? Sorry, I’m brand new to the hobby.
ОтветитьCongratulations on your Golden Demon with this scheme in the open competition. I have been using this video for years now for painting my Ultramarines, you managed to make my first model look like I had been painting for decades 😊.
ОтветитьWow!!!!
ОтветитьHow did you thin Citadel paint to apply with AirBrush?
Ответитьhi. Could you tell me how you do it so that your brush is twisted and narrow at the tip? How do you keep it that way for so long?
ОтветитьAny tips on the weather and chipping added to the power armour?
ОтветитьSick
Ответитьthis is a masochistic way of painting!
ОтветитьWhat do you use to mount the different pieces while you paint them?
Ответитьso damn crisp, love it
Ответитьlol ....
This is insane.
I am a noob painter and this had soooooooo many ideas.
It is the situation of thinning paint consistancy and keeping that brush at its sharpest while using a magnifying headset.
This is a valuable tutorial thank you so much.
Absolute mad lad! Brush control is insane.. Thanks for the tutorial!
ОтветитьLove these recipes. Thank you SO much. Looking at the leather I see you did XV88 then Karak Stone, but if you were doing something lighter like a tabard based on Karak stone what would you recommend as a highlight for Karak stone? Ushabti feels a bit too "cream" for a dingy cloth like that, I was thinking more like flayed one flesh? Any opinions for something less clean and cream but more faded less vibrant similar to Karak stone, more of an earthy tone?
ОтветитьI can’t believe how good you are I’m just new to painting these miniatures .
Would you consider painting me one? And painting a blood angel? I’m uk based also so perhaps we can sort something out?
Started my first painting today and while going over it, I kept having the recurring thought that it would have been so much easier to paint the pieces before putting/gluing them together... "What an idiot!!"
ОтветитьWhy am I holding my breath when he is doing highlights lol
ОтветитьThis is wow, and you make seem it easy (and it's not, definitely not). Just wonder how long it would take you to paint a whole army up to this level of detail. Just wondering, because it would took me ages I suppose. 😅
ОтветитьThis was awesome. Thank you.
ОтветитьI always wondered how this look was achieved. Not my cup O Joe, but it certainly shines a light on how it is performed. For my part I cannot imagine sitting down daily and painting in this manner. I would go bonkers. You are a focused person my friend.
Ответитьthis model is from Tactical Squad company ?
ОтветитьThank you! After this tutorial I subscribed to your Patreon :). Have you explained anywhere how your palette works? How you make your paints behave like on the video? If not, could you make a fundamentals video about this? :)
Ответитьim 14, and im trying to figure out the edge highlights, im a really decent painter. But i can't, for some reason, get the highlights right , it makes the rest of my spacemarine look dark, any advice to improve edge highlights ?
ОтветитьThose lenses are spot on. Really adds a lot of character to the model.
ОтветитьHow many days does this take?
ОтветитьWhat model is this ?? I would like to buy 10 and practice, thanks for making this guide ( and the others ) it's VERY inspirational !
Ответитьfresh from the assemblyline
Ответитьhow you fix the model to the iron string?
Ответитьamazing
ОтветитьExcuse me for the lack of imagination and my lateness, but could you please explain how did you build that paint handle, I'm guessing it's just cork and some pieces of bending metal, but is there any specific way of doing it? Also, did you use any glue for it to hold together, or sticky material? Amazing piece of artwork, you're my absolute reference.
ОтветитьAmazing work. The clean eavy metal style is by far the most appealing to me. What did you use for your wet pallet, your paint sticks together so well, my wet pallet sort of 'absorbs' the paint
ОтветитьHello my friend! I'm your couleague from Italy! This is awesome and one of the most accurate Heavy Metal tutorial i've seen! Thx!
Ответитьawesome work mate, really nice leather work & the gun is really detailed 👍
ОтветитьI tried to follow your instructions as good as I could .... but dayum never thought, that real eavy metal is that hard. My Marine looks like an abomination painted by a 9 year old that only had brush sizes of 5 and above .... phew.
ОтветитьI am going to follow your guide, I have a bunch of unpainted marines from my leviathan box set and your video i foind most inspiring.
ОтветитьStunning brushwork, marvellous results!
Ответитьwhat brush is that ? that seems really good ?
Ответитьreally awesome work mate, the brush seems to matter the most, the tip on your brush is like a pen, I have tried like 5 brushes
ОтветитьOk brother. I just buy my first set. I don’t think I can’t paint like this… at the beginning…. But with practice I will improve.
ОтветитьOkay, I have to ask, sorry if you addressed this in the video (I skipped around a lot, great video) but how many marines (maybe even Ultramarines) have you painted like this in your career? I'm sure the technique is mostly the same through the entire Space Marine range, but I just gotta know, how many space marines does it take to get that good at edge highlighting, and once you mastered it, how many more space marines did they make you paint?
ОтветитьHow do you thin your paints so well? I just started and I'm having a lot of issues with it
ОтветитьWow! Just amazing
Ответитьwindsor & newton series 7 number 1 rigger brushes are perfect for edge highlights
ОтветитьWhat type of wire are you using to hold the miniature and its parts, and where can I get it?!?
ОтветитьWhere did you get your Macragge Blue? I have used the Air and Base paint but it never looks that bright over a black primer coat. I applied as many thin layers as I could with my airbrush and by hand and still looks darker than in this video. They must have changed the formulation from 3 years ago 🤷🏾♂️
