I hate how the first step to organizing is always get rid of stuff. Can we please organize what we have?

I bought the same hangers at Costco. The only problem is I cannot use them. They shed some black dust and it is staining my clothes and leaving a mess behind. I bought 150 of them. Please help! I dont want to throw them out. How do I fix this problem? Can I wash them? Any suggestions, anyone? I can’t return them I shipped them overseas!

I cannot believe how many clothes you have. I too, live in a country with distinct seasons but I've just charity shopped the majority of my clothes and I didn't have anywhere near the number you have. I love that I don't have much choice now. I can mix or layer items and it works just fine. I feel a lot freer.

Depending on your job or career, you may not want to leave your laundry in your closet. Because of perspiration, etc, the odor of your clothes stays in the closet. Smaller closets are especially where odors just hang in the air. Better to put your hampers in the laundry room or bathroom and wash some items on a more frequent schedule

The “if you haven’t worn in 6 months, toss” rule doesn’t apply to me either. My area also has 4 seasons, yet last winter was very mild except for a few days smushed together, so I’ve got many winter pieces that weren’t worn. I’ve got them ready for this winter, and sadly if they’re not worn this season, I will be donating. I love winter clothes, bulky sweaters are top notch for me, but soon these items will be as out of style as the 90’s.

A year later lolol. But I'm so glad I watched it! I love all your ideas! I don't have any walk in closets (yet) but as my children have grown and married and moved out I have moved into to their closets lolol. My husband took one of our son's for his hunting and camping and fishing things (where mine go as well 😂) but the other two is mine so I have one that I share 50/50 with my husband in our bedroom although I took the middle shelf and top shelf and the other two closets none of them are walk in. And I need to reorganize them since I now have my youngest daughter's closet now! So I have 2 and 1/2 regular size closets to work and I'm getting a dresser and some store bins with drawers. love the sock bin idea instead of a drawer! I like the outfit of the day/week hanger idea! Long dresses and skirts folded I'd great for floor space. You're shoe shelves are great. And the earring displays is a great idea. I might do that with my girls. Its only us two now but I need to reorganize the 3 empty bedrooms for future sleepovers with our grandchildren and yet use them for storage. Thank you for sharing your ideas! Its going to be fun! I usually give my clothes to goodwill and also to a women's recovery program and a safety domestic violence thrift store and clothing closet for those who can't afford to buy clothes. We blessed to have these ministries on our area.

I'd think the first way of hanging long dresses would be less likely to leave wrinkles or lines where it goes over the bar because it's less weight that's folder over.

This is such a great video with graet ideas! I am going to take the idea of replacing our laundry basket with little bins!

Another option is to donate your clothing to your local ministries esp downtown ministries and let them put the clothing to good use.
Even poor and impoverished people like cute things to wear but simply cannot afford them! Just a thought!
These days $5 is pitiful for charity so definitely can do better than $5.- it’s not even enough to buy good treats for the humane society so wonder what this company will do with $5? Thanks for your video though!
