Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьI was OK until the end. How awesome it is to find something that has a connection to family. ❤
ОтветитьNice work Merlin.
ОтветитьHigh altitude fuel
ОтветитьSmash it together drive it to your house
ОтветитьThe free ninety nine was amazing🤑0.00 no tax😜
ОтветитьI’m 72 next month and for some reason I ended up in tears watching this video of Merlin’s.
Mind you, I have to say it’s not the first time…
Merlin, you’re a gent, love your videos, you have good humour and a kindly heart.
Bless you ❤️
Ole uncle Jesse turbo sand rail what a cool piece of history ya got to remember him by. Thanks Merlin for sharing your talents and adventures!!!
ОтветитьAwesome video! That's awesome you found Uncle Jesse's sand rail! That Volvo with the Detroit! Does it have the DDEC 4 computer system? Not all Series 60 are created equal just so you know. Some of the older engines didn't have piston coolers, so you shouldn't really jack them up if you want it to last. I have one in my Kenworth. I'm probably gonna be overhauling it again in the next couple of years. Fun video awesome. Later
ОтветитьYou towed that thing with no brakes? Crazy 🤪. 😂😂😂. Great job guys. Thank you 😊
ОтветитьI need that free truck! I have a 59 GMC cab that needs this chassis.
ОтветитьThose one piece steering shafts scare me. The steering box is the front bumper
ОтветитьAll that ugly junk came out and it ran pretty good anyway!
ОтветитьIf I had been there the viewers would have watched while I hunted that blasted beeper down and unplugged it.
Ответитьwow its got invader mags!!!
ОтветитьHi Merlin. You really had the touch with engines in this one! First the old Detroit started like it was parked yesterday then your Uncle Jesse's buggy started with just a little coaxing. Nice that you were able to get your uncle's car back in the family. I'm guessing that Uncle Jesse would be Shane's brother? That buggy could probably tell some stories!
Ответитьflat towing a 13 speed is hard on them they dont pump oil too cool them thats why most pull driveshaft
ОтветитьAnother great video 👍
ОтветитьLooks like a great addition to your fleet, that buggy looks excellent, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
ОтветитьBack in the 80s I turned wrench for compass and falcon they had a bunch of them .
Ответитьvery glad to see that buggy back where it belongs 🙏
ОтветитьLove it 💯
ОтветитьDude the harbor frieght atv winches are a life savior for loading
Ответить60 series pedal thing
ОтветитьAwesome 🥰
ОтветитьThat’s basically an old White. Volvo bought White. Then ruined the truck with their own designs!!! Hate Volvo! Cheap junk that companies waste money due to initial price, but it adds up starting year one! POS!!!
ОтветитьI just finished putting a 12 valve cummins that I bought off of Travis Blades into a 1964 chevy 1 ton, I'm lovin it.
ОтветитьThe whole situation with your uncles Sand Rail and the inspiration to find it and then the path you followed taking you to it so easily and the getting to see a kid you mentored being the guy that had it all these years later .....Thats either the most luck ive actually heard of someone having locating a specific vehicle a couple decades later or there was someone or something unexplained , unbelievable or unimaginable taking place . I wonder if your uncle mentored you and aided in your development of your natural talents during your teen years. Its a fantastic story either way that the car is back in your family . But more than a little luck almost certainly would have to have been involved I'd think. Or id at least like to believe more than luck took place anyway. Either way the outcome is just awesome.
ОтветитьWow. Awesome that you were able to not only find your uncles sand rail but also make a deal and get it back into your family. Of course there would be no problems for you to get it running. But what a cool thing to be able to get done . Im sure your uncle is smiling bright as ever watching all of the wizardry you demonstrate . Good stuff man , Good Stuff Indeed !
BTW the landing lights and rag or whatever it was hanging below them up front . Looked super cool like a face with its tongue hanging out. If that wasnt put there intentionally by your uncle back in the day, it could be your uncle putting it there intentionally that day. Either way it was super cool catching that as the car was being shown getting loaded. Absolutely fantastic if he was involved in that then or now. Love it.
You're an American treasure Merlin !
ОтветитьThat quote at the end really hit home for me. Great video as always.
ОтветитьSal seems like he's turned into a real good dude. I had a guy kind mentor me like that when I was young, sometimes that's all it takes. Too many kids these days don't have that and most need it.
Ответить^5!
ОтветитьOptimized idle, need to set the cruise idle to keep it running
ОтветитьThis was a great journey. Thanks for taking us with you, Merlin. Stay safe.
Ответитьgreat as always very entertaining good job
ОтветитьFree trucks are like free dogs, not so much of the free haha.
ОтветитьI don't know how you get away with towing like that here in the north east if I was to do that I would be in handcuffs and both vehicles would be impounded great job
ОтветитьOnly member of the rogue's crew missing is Steve Darnell.
ОтветитьMan that turbo sounds great on the doon buggy. Sorry for your loss.
Ответить👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьR.I.P.
Ответить2 great saves! RIP Jesse.
ОтветитьMerlin you're amazing! I can't think of a better mentor for a young auto tech to have. Nice to see you've found and recovered your uncle's buggy.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing Uncle Jesse with us!
ОтветитьMerlin, this is Marvin from Texas. You’re my kind of man man I like what you do.
ОтветитьSo happy you tracked down your Uncle Jesse old rail car, it's like he was watching 👀 over you when you fired it up. Your dedication to your uncle was very touching .you're a good man, Merlin.
ОтветитьHay, Merlin, I trade you for that 60 series and transmission from that Volvo, if you want, I will put it either in my roadgrader ,,or in my C 60 Chevy dump truck, lol thanks BigAl California thanks
