This delicious Chicken Pot Pie is delicious!
It is seasoned so perfect and is hearty and easy, perfect for anytime of the year...my double crust is flaky, homeade and made from scratch, I know you're gonna love it ❤
Ingredients
3/4 stick butter
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 medium carrots (finely diced)
2 celery ribs (finely diced)
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
3 small green onions (white and green chopped fine)
1 cup milk
2 cups chicken stock
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
1 cup frozen peas
1 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms
3 cups diced chicken
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp rubbed sage
5 sprigs fresh thyme (1 1/2 tsp dried)
pepper (to your liking)
salr (to your liking)
PASTRY DOUGH
DOUBLE CRUST
2 cups All purpose flour + 1 Tbsp
3/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup shortening
7 1/2 Tbsp water
